  1. Terry still had it when I left Sat night, yea some Horror 100 pages none above VF/NM maybe there was a NM–, but I didn't grab any.
  2. Here's an example of a book I picked up from Heroes for $6
  3. There were LOTS of DC 100 pgs for some reason this year at the con. But not many in the solid NM– to NM range. Quality Comixs showed me a really nice Brave and the Bold 100 pger. Somebody else had a few good ones NM– or higher but I can't remember who right now right now. CGC is really having an effect on conventions less solid raw NM books than ever. I was talking with Terry about his Spider-man 14 CGC 9.6. Steve Borock also mentioned it. Terry thought it should of been a 9.8. The grading notes were 9.6 9.6 9.8....bummer.
  4. I bought lots of DC horror cheap. Hereos was blowing the stuff out, within the first hour they must of sold 50+ books from these three HG DC Horror/War boxes. I was lucky being one of the first ones there. After I started pulling out books others came in, another guy moved into the box right ahead of me and started doing the same....pulling out books as fast as he could.........Overall I didn';t make any big purchases. Quality has a Witching Hour 1 in VF/NM that looked great but I passed. Terry had some good stuff. I didn't get to much of his great stuff.
  5. I've got the 261 265 267all in NM...which one is the 290??
  6. to everybody...if I get some time these days I'll see if I can't scan a few
  7. Thanks to Greggy, Blazing Bob, Mr. Bond, (and my wife for putting up with my crazy obsession). The deal is finalized and everything came together great. I am now the proud owner of a Detective 400 9.6 Scott AKA Rip
  8. Has the fear of pressing made much of an impact in anybodys purchasing?
  9. You can have grease pencil up to at least 9.8. But the grading guide states, you can't have writing on a 10.0 book. Personally I think CGC doesn't downgrade enough, especially based on what I saw pre-CGC.
  10. No, I completely forgot...... my memory of this [!@#%^&^] film runs only so deep..........
  11. No no El DeBarge....from that lame movie.... http://www.driko.org/lyrics/whosjohnny.txt
  12. (With that special smile) Who's Johnny?
  13. CGC will note the cleaning if it was a non dry clean process (meaning chemical), or if the book was disassembled. Pressing will be noted also, if the book was disassembled.
  14. That's awesome, the pulp was from Nov. 1940. It was very common for comics to swipe pulp covers.
  15. Edges getting brittle and fall off. Its a common defect on pulps. Here's my current copy. This ones better....
