  1. 1. The vast majority of the time, Cover A is the cover to have since it is the one people usually want for "complete" runs. 2. Anything with a high price tag on it and associated with Whatnot only has that price tag because of the drivel on that app that hype things up solely for the purpose of moving inventory. Personally, I'd stay away from them.
  2. I'm going to assume your talking about the current on-going Magic series, from Boom Studios, by McKay... 1.) Investment, probably not. 2.) They are not canon themselves, but they draw on the canon of the cards - the comic story makes sense if you know the general story going on the card game, but it is not official. The comics also keep up-to-date as much as they can, with Strixhaven being the most recent set in the story (if I recall correctly, I've kind of fallen off playing the game).
  3. Marvel has been all over the place lately with paper/print quality.
  4. That's my stance, too, regarding advertisements (and previews, also, which are just glorified advertisements).
  5. Technically, yes. Splashy full-page panel with him declaring, "I am Doomsday!" that people like, no.
  6. An appearance is a binary event - it happens, or it does not. This distinction between cameo and first full appearance is pedantic.
  7. Hi all...only got back into collecting comics earlier this year after being away for ~20 years, and grading wasn't even a thing for us kids reading whatever comics we could find at the grocery store. I wasn't too into graded comics until I purchased my first one recently, and was pleasantly surprised by how not-cumbersome they look/feel in person, so it has me wanting to get some graded myself, starting with this Young Avengers #1. I'm interested if it would be worth having cleaned/pressed as well. Noticeable Issues: Front has a spine tick under the top staple; slight scuffing under the "#" on the front cover; on the back there is what looks to be non-color breaking crease along the top edge (noticeable in the picture of the back cover, but not the scan). Scanned Front / Back Pictures
  8. Yes! I saw that recently, was very excited about it. When I made that post, all I was aware of was the trade dress version. Thanks!
  9. And here I was thinking it was a beautiful cover, and hoping it comes in a virgin variant at some point.
