  3. easy then...your offered a piece of More WD art and Adlard WD art...which do you choose?
  4. didn't sound that way atall...im appreciative of his work, definatly...it's just looking/ reading back you can see how much he's improved. That's good. Sometimes I imagine if the writers/artists saw our posts - how would they feel? And I would hate to think I ever came off as unappreciative of their work, especially since WD is my favorite. as long as it was constructive critizism, id hope they'd use it to become better artist/ writers....in Adlards case as you read from issue to issue you can see him improve gradually...

  6. ive also gotta mention Adlard's art when he started was imo substandard, especially following after one of the all time greats, Moore. im happy to say though you can really see the improvement in his work from issue to issue...
  7. gotta say on a re read all the way through over the past three days, im lovin the relationship between Rick and Abraham...I've not really bothered about any of the characters so far apart from Rick...I really think these two have got each others backs....heres hoping Kirkman dosen't kill him off anytime soon.... think Ill have to buy myself a Rick/ Abraham splash page...
  8. no, your good! i was there when Neil sketched this...one of the highlights of my life watching this piece come together.
  9. Just how it all comes together by issue #6 screams Emmy for all those who are involved, you don't see that kind of raw human drama like that on a lot of TV shows. It should do the trick, for a nice cliffhanger. but remember, the story line will not follow the comic book. we'd all love it to but im thinking it'll be ajusted to include a much larger, not comic fan base... oh they will....you can depict certain action without following through and showing the finish...we'll all know exactly what happen to his meat and two veg, but they won't show the action, just the prelude....her swinging the sword in the area of his pleasure center - cut away to shadows on wall - he screams - blood spatters on wall - cut back to her smiling - i know, i know...i should be writing the -script... (<---- I love this little guy)

As much as I enjoy this series, I don't think a straight episode per issue transition would work for large audiences. someone agrees with me for once... (thumbs u

  13. you know what...i think the other post is spot on, and for those never having read a WD, Shanes death would keep em intriguged for the 2nd series...
  14. That really got me as well. Me too.......and the fact that we all cared so much about these characters really is a testament to Kirkman's writing! During this particular moment my mouth literally dropped open and I just stared at the page for several minutes. If that's not a OMFGBBQ!!! moment then I don't know what is! I seriously considered not reading anymore WD when I read that issue. Steve talked me out of it (thumbs u I actually used to own the original art to the page where that happens. At first it seemed like a pivotal moment in the characters lives, but the longer I owned it, it just made me feel sad inside. So I let it go. I literally dropped the trade down, put my hands over my face and said WHY KIRKMAN WHY?? and i sat there for about 2 minutes before finishing the story... Wow thats most likely the most important page to own in WD besides the tony moore covers.
  15. This has been asked before, and Kirkman specifically said he would NOT do that to us! nah, Kirkman's alot more talented than that!
  16. ha ha Stepbrothers...ive watched that film in excess of 20 times and only the other night saw the ending after the credits....funny!
  17. I actually think it's a bit worse than that like are we talking about Carl...the kid packing the 9mm who likes to shoot cops (Shane) in the neck??? i think he'll be just fine....the first spoilers spot on...
  18. again, good point, however, any of the shows you described you can sit down and watch without having seen any before....so season 3, episode 5 of Seinfeld...i can sit down...watch it....not have seen the previous 30 shows and still enjoy it...season 3, episode 5 of the Walking Dead...perhaps its the tension building up to the breach of the prison walls, by the Guv'nor...i wouldn't have a clue what was going on and without money/ special effects id probably just turn back over to that seinfeld rerun.... Syndication, in my opnion wouldn't work with this project...
  19. And if there's anything I've learned from this thread, it's that cash is way more important than content. what are you talking about??? of course it's important when it comes to producing movies....remember Smallville starting off with so much promise??? then we got down to 'budget'..... only one quick special effect an episode, right at the end....made for enjoyable watching...NOT! it became boring...who wants to watch Superman not uses his powers...so when it comes to large productions with lots of special effects 'cash is important', the 'content' for the Walking Dead is already there...
