  1. Charlie, block that 0 feedback bidder. It's the "buyer" from the Crow 1 CGC 9.8 "sale." Crow 1 CGC 9.8 zero feedback winner Check the profile on the Crow 1 CGC 9.8 compared to your bidder - it's the winner from Tundra's sale. He may be trying to pay you back for revoking your $900 bid, so just a word of caution.
  2. Thanks, just wait until my zero feedback bidder hits the scene! You are going to laugh, but guess what. HE DID! Check your bids and the D**R (0) bidder tried twice to bid on your book, Charlie.
  3. I hear the seller is one of the coolest fellows around. He offered it to me for $50, but I had to turn him down. I couldn't let him lose money like that.
  4. Thank you so much to FatComicMafia for two fantastic Copper Age books that were securely packaged, rapidly shipped, and lovingly received ( ). Much appreciated Ed, and great luck with the move.
  5. It wasn't posted to impress you. I know these books quite well. But whatever. You know them well because you have four #1's? I could have bought all four #1's that came up in the past 8 weeks (9.4x2, 9.6 and 9.8) had had a better collection than you. Would that make me a Crow expert? You have such a chip on your shoulder right now, you're not taking a moment to step back and think. All I was telling you was the book was being shilled. Could it have gone higher or lower? Of course - it's an auction site. I've been collecting Crow for a few years now, and saw most of these sales, and not just for a few months. That's what you were not hearing.
  6. It's all good Lloyd. Just interesting to find out where the shilled book went. For you, I'll keep an eye out.

  8. Go back to the listing and check who you were bidding againt. Then do a search on the seller's Crow 1 CGC 9.8, and you'll see the same account shilling that book. Like Chris pointed out, he got enough attention from the first "sale," he chilled out on going higher. As far as not knowing what I am talking about, trust me, on Crow, I do. But thanks for showing your short-temper and ignorance.
  9. Wow! Looks like you took offense to the situation. Good thing is, you'll get over it - or you won't. Meanwhile, the seller was shilling his books.
  10. Nice move on your part after seeing how these comments would be a concern.
  11. Yes, as the way the book is described in the title, I would assume Ditko signed it somewhere. That's why this: The Crow Movie Book 8 signed - rare Brandon Lee O'Barr has me feeling the same way. I knew. I'm quick like that.
  12. Yes, as the way the book is described in the title, I would assume Ditko signed it somewhere.
  13. Extremely limited distribution, memorable character, events of O'Barr's life involved in the overall plot leading to an emotional story, and a fanatical fan base. All adds up to a hit.
  14. I was wondering who was bidding against the shill account that had won the Crow 1 CGC 9.8 two weeks before this sold. Since a 9.4 sold (about a month ago) for only $40 less than this copy, the "shill" didn't do a very good job. I got a great deal. He actually did since late last year two Crow 1 CGC 9.6s sold for $150. I saw the two CGC 9.4 auctions that went for $140 (+) and it was junior bidders that most probably didn't know market value. The shill also tried to bid up the Crow 1 CGC 9.8 from the same seller two weeks before, and after a few folks figured out what was going on, they either avoided bidding or retracted a $900 offer. That's why it sold for $500 (+). He learned a hard lesson as that book should have sold for $1K (+). You still picked up a nice book.
  15. Well, now we know who won the Crow 1 CGC 9.6 from Tundra Antiques, and was bidding against the shill. The Crow 1 CGC 9.6 Even funnier, Tundra must have received a warning about its shill account, because look at the feedback "the bidder" left for the seller. Professional packaging- Registered Mail. Excellent. Wish we won the 9.6 too . I'm not a shill - I just leave stupid feedback to cover why I bid on another book two weeks later.

  17. It's a fair question, Gav, whether late to the party or not. It came up about it being worth more points, but participants in the discussion at the time felt it would detract from Chew 1 first print being the kickoff issue. But I would have been okay either way.
  18. I will check back in the morning to make sure no one is opposed, but otherwise I will apply these suggestions tomorrow. I am glad that you could all come to an agreement without any major issues! can I get you to coach the rest of the board members on how well this can work?
  19. You're right. In seeing that book now, then the outer pages serve more as protection, and the real book grade is the inside cover.
  20. HOLY! Thanks for sharing, and the education.
