  1. Those numbers are box office only (domestic and international). Home theater sales on pre-1990's movies can be tough to track down at times. There have been modern updates to 4K. But sales numbers have been limited in reporting for even those releases.
  2. It's worth sharing that someone else in your household appreciated this too. And she didn't kick you out for bad taste (which she didn't - so you are in good company!)
  3. Finished it last night. And I had a good time. It picks up right after the events Child of Fire. And uses the first half as a deeper dive into the main characters. But once it gets going with the action, that second half is non-stop battling to the end. The visuals and soundtrack complemented the story throughout. And the stakes are relevant, as close to anyone could be taken out during battle. If folks dislike or even hate it, that's a personal preference. It was good for me. But sport-hating a director's work is a troubling mindset. Those falling back on that outlook have their own personal problems to deal with. Hope it gets a Chapter 3 since it ends with a lead-in to the next stage of the adventure.
  4. What a short memory. As we have had this discussion before. But oh well... FORBES: Disney Reveals Financial Muscle Of 'Avengers: Infinity War' Because these labor budgets are reported on via the UK labor regulatory requirements, it is clear GotG Vol. 1 actually cost $275.6M before any tax incentive discounts. Leading to Disney's CEO having to note during an investors' call there was a much higher production budget that exceeded the studios' original planned $170M. And with some additional reductions it got it down to that later reported number. FORBES: Disney Reveals Guardians Of The Galaxy Was Over Budget At $232 Million
  5. Not to worry. Someone on here will proclaim none of that is factual - that local tax breaks were $500M to counter any production and marketing expenses - and that it is only other studios that spend more. Not Disney. This is more than once Disney has been caught at manipulating the production budget news working through industry reporting sites. Remember GotG Vol. 1's news ($232.3M instead of $170M).
  6. The Rotten Tomatoes audience reviews are interesting. And the variance quite wide between individuals. So someone realized within 5 minutes of watching the second film it was unwatchable. So 1:5 stars - naturally this must be factual. And they HATED it.
