I was giving an example, but can certainly see this book hit highs that are going to surprise even the most intelligent comic enthusiast such as yourself. Were you even born when people were saying AF 15's could never go past 1000.00 dollars, or even 5000.00? We all know how that story is ending.

TMNT 1's had times of low trends too. Yet a 9.8 is now going for 30K.

There are so many mistakes in this thread, one more would hardly be noticed.

I completely agree. Ive heard this same thing about many comics, including AF 15, TMNT 1, etc. etc. I personally think that WD 1 is THE grail of the modern age,and that it will keep rising in price. You have the perfect storm. Desirability, low production, and now an icon in pop culture. There are far too few books, and far too many people wanting one. I said this before, and I'll say it again. This book will one day get to the price range of the TMNT 1's So naysayers have fun with your predictions, it will happen regardless of your thoughts of demise.

Here's my take on the whole signature on a comic book thing. I don't understand why you get a purple label for ink on a comic, yet Sig series you don't. It's really the same thing. It will damage your book over time! I personally feel that if you want a signature of someone whom you admire(which I'm not adverse to) get it on something else. I have Stans signature on a cartoon cel of Spider Man,it fills my need to have his signature.

Or don't and I will appreciate this when people will be looking for non signed books(undamaged) books in the future.

That whole run is so underrated.

131,133,138,141-143,and 145 7 issues I just have to wait until after my daughters wedding, the damn thing is killing me money wise. Thank God that we only have the flowers left to deal with. My daughter decides that she wants to get married on the Queen Mary,and go to Costa Rica for her honeymoon. This whole endeavor has cost me 35K.

Maybe instead of buying a comic book for investment you might try pharmaceutical companies, or even Disney stocks. If you want to enjoy a collection get a book that you like instead of an investment mindset.
