  1. It was 1969 the summer of love,he was probably thinking about girls anyway.
  2. I got hooked when I was 5, and I tore up my brothers Amazing Spider Man comics.
  3. What an awesome acomplishment, congrats.
  4. What an awesome acomplishment, congrats.
  5. Exactly! My life consisted of stick ball out on street staying out until the streetlights came on, and comic books.
  6. Man, you guys make this pretty difficult. It's not so hard really. Save up for the big books in the run, and the rest of the run will follow suit. As far as TPB's for the keys? Doesn't scratch that itch when your building a run.
  7. Most definitely a key book. A very important book IMHO.
  8. Don't worry when my boys sell my books after I pass there will be plenty of books for everyone.
  9. People ask me here all the time " why don't you get your AF 15 slabbed". I personally don't ever want this to happen, specially with something as sentimental as my AF 15.
  10. Dont be silly. I just feel that there are way too many fake signatures out there, whether they be celebrities or comic creators. I tend to just trust myself.
  11. Personally if you can't afford Mylars, then you shouldn't be buying expensive comics.
  12. Then why did you ask for opinions? Oh, and thanks Oak for giving me your wise input that took years to bestow upon me.
  13. This could be found with a little searching. I'll play anyway. I have put together many runs, from Silver age to moderns. AF15,ASM 1-700, Silver Surfer 1-18, Vampirella 1-113, and currently working on Creepy 1-146 ,and Eerie runs notably. Needless to say I'm a run collector. I have found that getting the keys first and foremost is important, reason being the keys are expensive and if you wait longer they they are much more expensive. The filler books usually stay at relatively the same price. So there's my , and it has worked for me. Happy run collecting, it's usually that one filler book that's a pain in the A to get.
  14. Exactly! The colors of the panels are too dark\rich, printing back then wasn't so dark. This is obviously a newer book, and doubtful anyone looking for an Action 1 would be taken in by such a scan.
  15. The way I look at it is. If I personally didn't witness, or approach a celebrity for an autograph, it's not a legitimate autograph.
  16. I have found a page, sadly not yours. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Superman-1-DC-1939-CGC-NG-Page-Features-the-Art-from-1938-Action-Comics-Cover/182458981656?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41375%26meid%3Da8969ba78cc2426aac5588f735cfb9d0%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252969344429
