The title of this thread is Moderns that are heating up on Ebay. Can you & anyone else involved go and start a new thread, maybe "The b1tch about anyone and everyone thread" and let us get this one back on track Its not a buying and selling group? The first post on the main page is the site owner running a raffle. Plenty of buying and selling goes on there, either through private sales, ebay listings or via links to the buy/sell/trade sub-forum on the blowout cards forum. Also at the site's owners and mods crapping on Indy for posting links to his external site where he features book speculation. That guy has made hundreds if not thousands of dollars for many members of that group. Similarly linguini and larry have been treated like garbage there, as has that topher guy from investcomics. But yes please tell me again how that board is entirely credible. Oh wait, you're a moderator there...don't even bother. I'm a moderator over there. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have, because this garbage you wrote is so far off base that it's comical. Let me address some of your nonsense here. Anyone that joins our groups knows we have fun mostly and just b.s. about comics and speculation. i've gone on the record about what nonsense that wolverine test tube spec was, but fact of the matter is a member there pointed out relevant info no matter how silly i and others think it is. also it didn't start to take off on ebay until whoever the hack is over at bleeding cool boosted the info a few days later and wrote a story on it. we have fun over there and the cynical cry babies like you are kept to a minimum. we use real names over there and a lot of great relationships are made. it's a hell of a group. people share stories and photos of comics and their collections. it's a great source of information. indy/pinky got grief for posting his blog link cause he didn't ask for permission first and just started spamming it, it nothing more nothing less. jimmy, dakoit, hokness, tony chu, topher, and others are welcomed with open arms and are freely allowed to post links to their blogs. all they had to do was ask first and make sure it was okay. indy/pinky i'm sure will be able to do the same with a little communication and forewarning in the future. also what's wrong with having a b/s/t forum? that's what makes this hobby fun is it not? i've met some great people and made some awesome trades. Raffles are just something that is done for fun every so often, and most members get a kick out of it. Winning a CGC 9.6 Batman Adventures #12 for a 20.00 gamble? the deal with the scalped issue is a joke at this point. we can't help what people do with the info, no more than members here can help what happens to spec info posted. all the site owner did was link a comment that latour made about working with the aaron on scalped that lead to them coming up with the idea for southern bastards. no one ever said hey look it's the 1st app of earl tubbs. old news. you sure know a lot about our groups so you must lurk and troll over there often. what is the most funny is that all the guys you mention like jimmy and larry post over there often and have a good time. they have mentioned numerous times how much more they enjoy it over there than here for the facts i mentioned above. it's funny you say larry is treated like there, when it would impossible for him to get more mess than he does in these forums. we've even had some talks with larry about doing our own variant for the groups just for fun. we've raised money for members, and picked up members when they were down. we've ran drives to send comics to our troops, and are always looking for cool things to contribute and help the hobby. not sure what your vendetta is about the group but get over yourself dude. feel free to ask me any questions you got. -

1:52? Is that some swipe at DC? It's also 3D out this month if that helps you at all. It was also given out 1 per store to those that didn't order 1:52 Marvel want all retailers to know just how funny and clever they are -

And considering the 2nd printing of Outcast is said to be huge, that makes it even more impressive. Good stuff! Issue #1 is 100% speculation, can't give issue #2 away -

I wonder when the Strain 5 will start to get hot? Don't see it being any more valuable than any of the other books. The characters in this book are all normal human beings for the most part and very rarely do "normie" books do much. Plus the first appearance of issue #5 was in Previews & that's doing nothing at the moment -

Saga 1 was heavily promoted and had a print run of nearly 40,000....It's doing very well..I don't know the numbers for this one, but I wouldn't be surprised if it continues to rise. Saga 1* $2.99 Image 37,641 Outcast 1* $2.99 Image 71,788 That's a lot of copies. It will be interesting to see how high it actually goes. Apparently it was well over 80,000 for Outcast but because they were returnable, Diamond or Comichron had to adjust the numbers. Doubt many were returned though -

How is that even allowed? Probably because he paid cover & the seller wants more money when he relists next week? -

The only way this works is if Marvel keep to a reasonable print run and tell a good story to keep Star Wars fans happy (so that's this theory goosed then). That would be low supply large demand. No-one wants a : Deadpool vs Han Solo mini series Death of Luke followed by the revelation that it was a clone that was killed. Anakin becoming female Chewbacca Scratch n sniff issues (ok thta's DC but....) etc etc etc -

Hmmmm, interesting. Thanks. SW Tales 19 is the one I think do well. I read something a month or two ago that all of the Star. wars stuff outside of the movies was no longer considered canon. I hope that's not the case because there are lots of good stories outside of the movies like Crimson Empire, Dark Empire, and the Rogue Squadron series. Does this matter to people who collect SW comics ? None of the Star Wars Tales books were ever part of canon. They are campfire stories shared between characters within the Star Wars universe that may or may not have elements of canon in them. And while all of the stuff outside the movies was labeled non-canon that doesn't mean the studio won't take characters, events, or other elements whose source material was outside the movies and adopt them by bringing them into the movies. For instance they already stated that Boba Fett is alive in the Star Wars cinematic universe, that idea didn't come from the existing Star Wars movies, at least not explicitly. The new movies could still take an established character from the expanded universe and give them a blank slate. Boba Fett survived in the Marvel comics, are those considered canon? I heard they were going to start renumbering at 108 so does that mean they will keep the continuity? Yes, the numbering starts at #108 so they can make a big fuss about it and have 108 variants. The next issue will be Star Wars #1 - MARVEL NOW!!! Big fuss, lots of variants followed by the next issue All New Star Wars #1..... Big fuss, lots of variants leading into a reboot of the series with a new 1st issue. They're hoping people don't realise the stories are garbage & should have stayed at Dark Horse -

Does anybody know for sure if CGC considers Hush's first appearance to be Batman 608 or 609 by any chance? Or when his first appearance actually was? -J. I think 609 as Tommy Elliot, and 619 as Hush. However, the CGC labels on those books doesn't mention first appearance for either. That's what I thought as well. Though he is on the cover of the 608 RRP. Would that not actually make that his first appearance ? -J. Depends what the print date of the RRP was. The 608 RRP is dated 12/02, the same date as the regular edition. 609 is dated 1/03. So unless I'm mistaken the 608 RRP would be Hush's first appearance, even if only on the cover. -J. The first print of 608 was released Oct 23. 609 There were comics 1400 years ago That's how it 1st read to me -

There is an image of Harley in Batman Chronicles Gallery 1 that pre-dates her first in-DC-continuity appearance in the Batman: Harley Quinn book with the Ross cover though. Very cool, I love stuff like this. Never noticed .... Mr Ween is the 1st appearance KING ! I prefer evil warlord What do you reckon on this one for a 1st appearance. TBH like the rest of this sellers unethical 5 x cover price pre-order sales, this is just sad 1st app of Rocket Racoons name -
