  1. You think people would notice these things before posting these links... the book sold though, so whoever wanted it felt like 350 was an acceptable price no, it didn't really sell. just because something sells for a a certain price doesn't make it real. chances of this book not being paid for is slim and it will be relisted. price manipulation and shill bidding is a huge problem on ebay. though not as prevelant in comics. it has run rampant on other hobbies especially basketball cards.. for a while there were a small group of buyers who were driving costs of michael jordan cards through the roof in a attempt to manipulate the prices of their very high end collections and it worked, really well. so don't think it can't and hasn't already possibly happened in the case of some comic books. just be careful and don't take the sell price of things as ebay as gospel, that is how price manipulation works. look at every auction you see objectively and study the bid history first, before you just buy in and assume that is the price of the book. It did sell & the winner stacked bids. He wanted it at $350, $355 & $360. Why wouldn't he pay for it?
  2. Just 2 noobs going at it & the winner suffering the consequence of bid stacking
  3. I hope you are right that there are no more additional printings . My wallet needs a break. it's looking likely. Revival #6 only had one printing, as did Saga #9 Sorry champ, Revival #6 is the Snow-blower you found in the garbage that is nonworking on your front lawn. ( you meant to fix it up) This is the snow-blower you found in the garbage that works. ( its STILL on your front lawn) For every nonworking, there is one of these for every 18 snow-blowers. Understand? There's not 1 for 18 in NM though, I saw Forbidden Planet Londons stock earlier this week (actually had to pick 3 up off the floor where dropped off the shelf & left) Still they are one of the biggest retailers in the world
  4. Does anyone remember "Fool Brittania" Reg Rigbies comic blog on (can't remember where). If you do & you miss him (cos he left). We got him (& he's rambling already) Well, if you've nothing else to read Heeeeeeeeeeere's Regie!
  5. Last is Superior Spiderman #9 if you read the reports Nope. sorry just going with Marvel quotes, been doing this for 30 years, it gets tedious at times
  6. When do tickets go on sale? If I go I expect to have a seat and be treated like Royalty. You have a whole table. I just need to see the variant you're drawing for the con Not sure when general riff raff tickets go on sale. & check your PM you have blanks if you want them
  7. Tables for Thought Bubble sold out in 1 hour yesterday I'm in
  8. I'll be going to Book Expo in May with Image and will probably have some signings at some stores in NY while I'm there that week -- let me know what LCS I should sign at in NYC... I cant find any info on this? When and where is the Expo this year so i can make arrangements? Here's the website for Book Expo... I've never been, but it's one of the few shows Image is doing this year, so I'm going. http://www.bookexpoamerica.com You're going to Thought Bubble con in the UK too Ken You just haven't realised it's awesomeness yet
  9. Actually, even though that was originally the plan, it wasn't released earlier. It didn't make the Thought Bubble convention due to a shipping error and went on sale the same week as the regular version of the first issue. The shops in Leeds that got the books didn't even get the shipment until the Monday after the con. Both covers were printed together. It's not cost-effective to do a run fewer than 1k on its own. -e.s. Eric Stephenson Publisher Image Comics, Inc. www.imagecomics.com Loved the hand written sign at Thought Bubble explaining this

  11. anyone wanting a giggle go look at page 1 of this thread. The hate & disgust oozes off page 1
  12. The Last Zombie - please please please... The comic will stop if sales don't go up - its fricken awesome - you can get it at cover or less anywhere! This ain't about flipping, this is keeping a great title going. I'll do a shout-out on Sunday on Ryans show - Brian Keene and APE are top top guys. Support this comic book! Can we do 2 comics, agree on Last Zombie but Rachel Rising too. How much genius writing does Terry Moore have to throw at you guys to get you to buy his comics
  13. Good to know, it's been delayed in the UK and isn't out until next week
  14. And sabotage the prison and potentially kill some of the people she knew and was friendly with? Doubt it. I'm staying out of this thread until the next episode airs. Why you guys are still debating this is beyond me. If anything, I'm surprised that no one is "examining" why the truck was able to crash through the gate so easily. or why the truck was unable to drive back out ?
  15. Just signing mate. Ian's a big fan and it would make his day. If you could get it with the above quote that would be great. Any Campbell cover is fine. Many Thanks if you can sort this
  16. Hey Guys (attending LSCC!) would someone get ANYTHING signed by J Scott Campbell for me if they're in the queue. A friend has been waiting patiently forever for him to come over, booked ticket, ready to go, wife decides to have a C Section booked for saturday it would literally top the birth of his newborn to get a sig. If anyone can, could you make it "To Ian, you chose a baby over me?" I would owe you a large one if anyone can do it.. (I'm Matt btw so it's not for me)
  17. yeah, for like three minutes prior to the release of issue 1...before everyone realized it wasn't any good. Common occurrence for books with an "I" on the cover. everyone? don't think so
  18. All good here, no spine problems. Ken, did you get my PM?
  19. They did the same thing last month with the Moore cover of Poison Elves#1 Also did the same with ASM 698 1/10 Variant. Didnt amount to much as book didnt take off. Almost certain they did that with Peter Panz #9 also. I ordered mine from a different site, but believe I heard some people saying that happened to them from DCBS. Isn't this the purpose of the Pre-Order sites? You bring up a good question. Id like to know if someone can answer it. I guess Diamond gets first priority on a print run then everyone else like DCBS? So if DCBS gets a shorted on a book or looks like they will they send out emails? I may be wrong but would imagine Diamond get everything & DCBS order through Diamond. Whether they get better treatment than anyone else, who knows
  20. I really like the way Rick lined up the targetting red dot on his rifle / machine gun (whatever) just to the right of the guys head then.............................. missed
  21. While this is all very true Larry, I'm confident that you know your customers and some want the best books possible and im sure you pull accordingly. You might have one customer that has two copies of everything on his pull list and you try to give him a NM+ or better copy and a " reader" with stress, because that is what he requests. And obviously you know this is good business. Whatever is left over hits the shelves and are cover price books obviously, but im sure if you are well stocked you may give a little off for some damage? or am I off base here? Would you rather sell a $3.50 book for $3.25 or even $3.00, or let it hit your $ bins later? There should be some wiggle room. At least on well stocked books that are soon to be pulled from the shelve and put in a box. I guess JL's situation was slightly different as it was a new # 1 book, however, in general I would assume you may have some room to work with people? All 5 of the books were in returnable condition. I was just upset he didn't care about the condition. watching your Gif while listening to Johnny Appleseed by NOFX - Classic!
  22. The thought BUBBLE has burst or maybe people are actually staying away from speculating sellers? This guy buys & sells on the same ID on multiple sites. He bought that copy from me for £25 B.I.N 10 days ago on ebid (mentioned the same minor damage to the bottom corner)
