    Reholder?

    @CGC Mike @Brittany M. Is this accurate? Neslon, at BTC, stated CGC agreed to reholder these books, at no charge to the end consumer.

    Agreed. It's a tough situation for BTC. Like I said, they already sent them back to CGC twice to re-holder for the same problems and they didn't fix it. BTC was getting a lot of pressure from customers, mostly because of the price tag on the book.

    The worst part is that those gold covers came back to BTC early and they had already sent them to get reholdered twice.

    There were a lot more that were worse. Sorry yours weren't the "better" ones. CGC will reholder at no charge, of course, for all of these.

    Not all of them. Almost all the copies received quality control issues with the cases. The acceptable ones are being shipped. The rest are being shipped back to CGC to reholder. This will be the third time BTC is having them re-holdered due to QC issues.

    CGC has stated the ToT time starts from when it's delivered. Not marked as received. Their flexibility is, they can always say the stated ToTs are just estimates.

    Like it or not, there is movie/television canon, which often is separate from literature canon. If the LotR films were the original source material, Rings of Power would blend well with it.
