  1. Some great acting but I can't think of a more depressing movie to watch.
  2. If he was the best we had, of course I'd want him out there. Even more so via your scenario. If CGC is short talented graders, it's up to Matt to decide if it better serves the company delegating his duties or getting his hands dirty.
  3. He's probably one of their best graders. Why do you think that?
  4. No doubt but there are a lot more experts in the pressing arena now than there were 20 years ago. A lot more amateurs too
  5. And that it's mostly undetectable if done correctly.
  6. I'm forced to roll my eyes backwards seeing you comment on scandals.
  7. This is all a distraction so that we accept Newton Rings.
  8. One man's trash is another man's(or woman's) treasure.
  9. I reached out to Kenny a week ago and no response. If you can't respond to potential customers in that timeframe, you need to do some hiring. Also, I sent a book to CCS for resto and it was too large to encapsulate, so they didn't even look at it. It was sent back the day after it was checked in. I was told, after it shipped back, that if I were to put a note on the sub form, they would consider doing it without encapsulation.
  10. I do, actually. The book was mailed back to me immediately. It didn't even spend a full business day at CCS. I do not believe it was evaluated for restoration and pressing. Please contact me, as I would like to send it back, as it definitely needs both services.

    Restoration

Hello. I just sent a comic in for a press and restoration. It appears it was slightly too large to encapsulate but I still want the press and resto work done. Will that be possible?
  12. dwxkj_21 Said his brother bid on his account without approval. Never paid. A waste of a 10 day auction.
  13. Possibly. Many people believe "the future" is synonymous with progress. While not always true, in this case, I can't see the argument. It wouldn't be any different than watching cartoons or anime. I just don't see a good prognosis for acting, as a career, in 30 years.
  14. I found this whole situation very interesting. I was so curious who would fold first. As impossible as it may seem now, it's inevitable that live action films will be all but extinct within 20/30 years. The technology to create a feature film without human actors will be so advanced that the human eye will not be able to determine CGI from a real person. It will also be much more cost effective for studios to not have to pay top actors 20-30m compared to the current salaries of the digital crew.
  15. It's a great show. Not quite as good as Arcane but very enjoyable. A mix of Arcane/Ahsoka/Kill Bill.
  16. You can call in and get them to honor standard tier pricing. I've had no trouble getting that done in the past when a submission is well past it's stated ToT.
  17. Thanks all! I wouldn't care if it was them flipping. I was just curious, as it is being shipped directly to the business location. It wasn't a super expensive or vintage book, so I'm assuming now, it's just for his PC.
  18. I just had an unusual sale from my Ebay account for a slab from who appears to be the VP of Heritage. Is this something they typically do? Buy books on the bay and flip them through their auctions?
  19. Finally shipped on 10/20. 27 business days in total. Almost 3 times stated ToT.
  20. On 10/9, these moved to G/QC and I was billed on 10/11. Remained unchanged, and on Friday, I called in and requested to be credited the fast track upcharge on all books. They had no problem doing that, so I can't complain too much, even though they are still at 22 business days and haven't shipped. I was also given the grades, which was nice. I didn't think they could do that unless already shipped.
