  1. Well..most of these are not GA FA books..but here's some of my nicer copies of Fox & Crow.....
  2. No new Funny Animal pics today!! Drats...I'm gonna have to post some more later....
  3. Okay...trying this again..now that I'm up to the present day... If I had a spare $28K to toss around....I'd love the AA16....however If I were to pick the Superman #1 I definately would be able to complete my Superman run from #1 to the end as I only need about 45 books to complete it.... So that pretty much makes it the Supey for me.....though...I'd still would love the GA GL first app.
  4. That thing's in a blue label. There's not enough color touch to matter, obviously, so it can be ignored. Church All Star #3, all the way. I do not see where this slab states color-touch..I see it states glue on cover...if it were color-touched why would it be in a blue label? I couldn't care less for anythuing with Nick Cages name on it...But I'd probably go for the All-Star 3. A 9.6 1940 GA key book. Sure Marvel Mystery is world's scarcer....but......I dunno...I'd love the Marvel...but I'd probably go with the DC on this... Wonder Woman #1 on the other...and the Superman #1 on the other choice.... Guess I'm too much of a DC freak... I just realized I was commenting on a 3 yr old post!!!!

  7. Here's the back cover variants to the US standard issue and the Canadian version of Peter Porkcops #1... US.. Canadian...
  8. Here's 3 Peter Porkchops #1's...the last one is a Canadian edition...
  9. Here's my Animal Antics 1....unfortunately none of my 40's and 50's Funny Animals #1's are HG copies except for the Flippity & Flop I showed the other day.
  10. Here's my Real Screen #1 and 2... #1 is quite a crummy copy...I'm looking for a nice one...
  11. Awesome copy!! I need to get some Cavalcades..
  12. Very impressive. How complete is your collection? Well...if you consider the SA books that coincide with Showcase 4 Sep-Oct, 56 and cut-off at Dec, 1969...(without getting into a debate about where SA begins and ends) I have figured there are 115 unique titles (including annuals as their own title) and about 4898 books total. I'm still about 1000 books from completing that run. I mostly am hurting with the Funny Animals, Romance & war titles. Bronze and up beginning Jan, 1970 I have most all the DC's to 1994. Late 80's and 90's I did not by everything..1994 I went cold turkey and never purchased another new comic. I also collect GA DC's....Superman, Action, Funny Animals, The Big Five war titles...World's Finest...not everything..mainly what I like and just happen on a good buy. Then there's GK's, Dells, Charltons, Atlas, Marvel....but no where near a collection of the other publishers as DC. I have been focusing lately on upgrading as well as filling in the DC SA books. I went dormant on buying old comics during the late 80's to the late 90's. Focused on collecting a huge 1960's toy collection during that period. Otherwise I'd probably have a real impressive comic collection by now. I'm thinking about flipping the toys, models and other collectibles and buying more silver and gold comics. which is my first love. Sounds like a heck of a collection If you have some group shot pics or just pics of some piles, please do share with the board . -Hank Well....I've never done group shots (suppose I could), but I have been photographing every single book as I get the chance. Front and back cover. I've done over 2000 books the past month. Warm weather is about back to stay and I won't be able to shoot as many as I like in a week. Too bad I did not decide to do this in December.

  15. Man...that #2 is the toughest book to find...I have 2 #1's...I have Real Screen Funnies #1 and a nice #2...but F&C #2 is hardly ever available...and when it is...unfortunately it doesn't look much better than yours... Thanks for sharing Scrooge... I'll post some F&C and Mor F&F's later...
