  1. Agreed, but this is still a sweet book. The story is 6-pages. There are actually 2 of these slabbed right now...a 9.8 and a 9.4 copy. Not sure what the label says..."1st comic appearance of Mario and Donkey Kong"...sound about right?? I'm going to get one of these and have is slabbed! Sweet Here's the whole 6-page story
  2. I noticed the thread discussing Sonic's first appearance so I thought I'd see what Mario's was. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a book out there with Mario I it from the 80's, well prior to the Valiant books.
  3. Anyone know what the 1st appearance of Mario is in comics??

  8. I can't believe those games are going for $5K-$6K!!!! Wow. I can see that for a black box Mario Bros....but Urban Champion?!? Amazing.
  9. OK Hulk44...share. Where did you get those, who made them, costs, ect... Those are sweet and I'd love to cover my walls with a few of those
  10. Holy jeez! I'm estimating that is about 240 CGC books? WOW, that's $7,500 in grading fees and about a 12 month wait...Kudos to you! More pictures?!?
  11. I can't believe how far behind CGC is...amazing
  12. Is there a GPA equivalent for VGA graded games??
  13. I know I've posted this somewhere else, but this thread makes sense. I present CAPTAIN AMERICADE Stand up M.A.M.E. machine w/ 5,000+ arcade games. For those of you that haven't heard of these, M.A.M.E. stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. You basically purchase a piece of hardware called an I-PAC that acts as a translator between your keyboard port and your joysticks/buttons. Every button and joystick movement is mapped to a key on the keyboard, e.g. pushing the joystick up translates to hitting the UP key on the keyboard. There is a PC inside the cabinet and the monitor is an old 19" CRT monitor. The speakers are basic PC speakers. You can get REAL fancy with these things. Working coin doors, rotating control panels to include joysticks, roller balls, steering wheels, etc...mine is very simple. Everything on my cabinet is custom, I believe this was an old BreakThru cabinet...bought it at an arcade auction for $1 and refurbished it. A good sanding, some woodfiller where needed, some new paint, t-molding, a custom marquee, custom side art and control panel overlay, Street Fighter button layout, custom MAME menu to select your game, 19" CRT monitor and bezel, great PC speakers with external volume control, and the most important...cup holders on each side! Once my boys get a little older I plan on making another one of these bad boys! Talk about fun!!!
  14. I bought a DVD of a few episodes for me and my boys to watch (3.5, 5). Link is an absolute Cobra Kai individual_without_enough_empathy in those cartoons...
  15. No, it's actually an old CD holder. The friend that gave me a lot of these games in the late 90's used it to hold the games. I was lucky enough to find another identical one about 5 years later...from my brother in law. The games fit perfectly.
  16. Here are some of my favorite loose carts...still need to pick up a few classics though. Are there any posters that are worth anything? I have about a dozen different ones.
  17. And the part of the book I looked forward to every month...
