As far as I can tell, he hasn't actually broken any of the Forum rules other than neglecting to price a few books until it's pointed out to him. But that happens occasionally with long-time sellers too... There are a lot of sellers around here who pre-sell books that aren't in hand but are on their way back from the CGC. As long as that fact is disclosed, it's never been a problem in the past. The sales via a third party is actually the smartest move he made. Using an established dealer as an escrow agent to handle the money and books is the only way I'd even consider buying a valuable book from a complete unknown. As far as I can tell, we have no rules against that. And PM sales are incredibly common around here. If I had $1 for every time I've seen "Book XYZ sold by PM" posted, I'd be a rich man. That being said, the thread is definitely a complete mess. I think the seller would have benefited from taking a day or two to study some other sales threads to see how things are usually done around here. My I concur with MOST of what you say BUT I have never understood selling books that are " on their way back from CGC" You mean that the "flipper" needs money that bad that they can wait till they have the book or books in their possesion? 'paypal today only'? I just dont get it..Guess Im not too bright but if these books were mine I would have got them all in hand then had a huge sales thread with scans and pricing on each book instead of this cluster bleep his thread has become."more on the way" ASM blah blah blah..talk about your un orginized thread.AND if this noob was using a board member as a reference or a third party dont they know how to do things the right way?As the above poster said he would have benefitted from seeing what goes on here and how we do things before jumping in with this feked up sales thread that is impossible to follow... and who knows whats sold,on hold etc. Granted..he may not be tecnically breaking any rules BUT JEEZ What a mess!

Everyone is going nuts over this guys books.As a previous poster said if these were 5 dollar books this guy would be getting flamed BIG TIME. I just hope for the boards sake that this isnt some kind of a scam or something.Or people dont get ripped off somehow BUT ill stay clear of anyones sales like the Paypal today only " pricing etc.?? Why the big hurry to collect all this cash before you have the books in your possesion? You need the cash that bad or.......... In my first sales thread I was selling a 100 dollar book and I was asked for virtually everything but my first born child before I . could make this sale.BUT this guy comes on here selling books in the 5 k range and if you ask questions or address concerns in the thread you get lambasted.. There are big double standards and you are only questioned or scrutinized depending on how good your wares and prices are..If you are a NEW user and have high end stuff at cheap prices look out!! feeding frenzy begins.If you have OK stuff at market price Go somewhere else as youll be ripped up and down . He keeps listing books with no prices,pulling books .off to CGC ..A lot of poor form by this noob is being ignored due to the feeding frenzy going on..

If this was a paypal dispute you lose..PERIOD end of story.Its a drag when this kinda stuff happens.Not saying your lying or anything of the sort but look at the buyers point of view.How does he know you didnt send a box with something else in it to a McDonalds in his city. I sent it in a cardboard box with a piece of cardboard on each side and peanuts on each side. And 7.9 oz is half a pound. The no tracking is my fault. I ran out of tickets and forgot to add it at the po. And after the transaction is complete, why keep the PM's? You know how many pages of PM's I would have? And I STILL have not heard from the other party. Lets see here. If the guy never got the book how would you call that a "complete" transaction

AND the seller stated that they graded high..So whats the beef with your dad? Just sell em to someone else ....ASM hi grade is money in the bank.Not like he got stuck with a bunch of graded drek or something GEEZ.
