UH OH They grammar police have arrived..

This was NOT a scam, believe what you will! I shipped out over 5000+ bronze age comics, some buyers liked them, some did not.

 

POE had high expectations of what Bronze Age comics he wanted out of a box off 300+

 

He started a thread bashing me. After cooling off from the bashing that I received on these boards and conversing to the buyers individually via pm like I ALWAYS STATED I WOULD, I offered FULL refunds or FAIR credit solutions.

 

I have been selling on these board for years and NEVER HAD AN ISSUE AS A SELLER until selling these BULK LOTS! I have constantly delivered the goods as stated on time and at considerably less savings than EBAY or GPA or COMICLINK! I will continue to offer these great deals to board members and for those who do not wish to purchase them so be it. Many of you know the service that I provide and the savings, I also ALWAYS PROVIDE FULL OVERSIZED SCANS OF THE FRONT AND BACK OF ISSUES.

 

What I have learned from this experience is NOT TO NOT SELL BULK LOTS, especially to newbies that you have never dealt with on the boards. That means you JERRYZ also.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hang on a second chief..Havent you been on probation TWICE?? yes or no? If you have then get down off you high horse with all this "never had an issue" why were you on probation? Cuz you gave such great deals?

If resolution is made, and he does not have other lingering issues, he should have the same access to selling on these forums as anyone else. Fair is fair.

What type of lingering issues? Being on the probation list twice? is that a lingering issue?? Just wondering if thats what u mean..

For a businessowner such as yourself you need to gather all the facts before pointing fingers.

I have addressed this matter with the buyers who were unhappy via PM, and I addressed the matter on this thread a few posts ago.

Whether people purchase my comics in the future is entirely up to them, my selling reputation before this is and has been very good! Just check the kudo's thread!

Looks like most people will not.Even if you give them a refund doesnt make it right does it? You have stated that dont want to defend yourself anymore but yet you make some blanket statement that doesnt address anyones concerns that have been posted..

I'll back up CS a bit here.

 

First of all, from his sales thread it looks like he sold 18 long boxes and not 15. I can believe that if there were water damaged books, especially if heavily damaged, that he pulled those out. But even if not, so what. I'll grant that his discussion leans towards selling the boxes "the same as he got them from Filter81" Still, in the sales thread Qualtiycomics early on mentions that they went from Koch to Neat Stuff to Filter and had been culled all along the way.

 

Plus if you believe that the water damaged boxes were pulled and you factor in postage, he really is selling them for about what he paid. He was selling them for $150 shipped and postage via media mail is about $18 per.

 

They are then being sold as a mystery box. Everyone gets their panties in a twist if they are out $75 but if they happen to make $150 nobody comes running back sharing the profits. It's similar to buying a NM book and sending it to CGC, getting an 8.5 and demanding a refund but you get a 9.8 and HAHAHAHA.

 

As a seller CS has hurt his reputation. Whether grossly or only slightly misrepresenting what is sold - it hurts his reputation. The self policing on this board has done a nice job as usual.

 

But the outrage for being scammed is getting a bit much. It sounds like most folks were out 10% of the number of books with another 10% were over duplicated than advertised. Plus some in less than advertised condition. I partly feel like you get what you pay for. Sort of like paying money to a Carney and not winning the big prize.

 

From a disinterested party's point of view I'd go with a $50 refund per box as fair compensation. Tempest in a teapot here folks.

If the seller mislead anyone, that's his fault. Don't try to throw this on the buyer because they thought they were getting a good deal. The seller KNEW what he was selling, and chose to misrepresent it to make the sale. Wrong is wrong. Don't act like the morality police because it's a weak and flawed spin on the argument.

Also this nonsense of "sharing the profits" after someone gets a deal and gets it graded etc,,Cmon thats ridiculous! If buyer and seller are happy with the transaction then its great ,but in this case the buyers are NOT VERY happy with the purchase..

Misleading people to make a sale is just wrong..Im sure all the pissed of buyers will love you suggesting a 50 dollar refund per box I think thats up to them not you..I thank god didnt get taken but if I did I would expect a FULL refund be given..And if this seller "filled the boxes' with the heroes books...Why would he do that? He said in an earlier post or someone pointed out he said that they sell for 15 bux each?? So you stuff these boxes with what you say is 450 bucks worth of "FILLER"???

I am done defending myself because there is nothing to defend!

 

The decription of each long box is exactly as described and I even added the Heroes Inc #1's as padding for free.

 

I am sorry if there weren't comics of expectation for some buyer.

 

Each and every box had Marvel and DC comics, not more than 5 of the same issue per box, all VG to VF/NM, all 1970's Bronze.

 

Again I have about 700 water damaged bronze comics that anyone can have if they choose.

Well I received my three boxes a couple days ago and prior to openign them listed them for sale on the forum. I really have to stop buying quaniity. JC and others called my attention to this thread.

So I closed the selling thread after reading this and opened 1 of the 3 boxes. PURE JUNK! All smell, most are vg with multiples of water dmaged issues.

So now not only am I out money, but it looks like I tried to scam other people into buying the,....NOT COOL .

CS the one box I have opened is NOTHING like you described, espically with all of the water damage. PLUS the box is FAR from full

ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER!!

Clearly Sergio needs to go on the Probation list.

I read the original sales post and its obvious this stuff isnt even close to what it was supposed to be..

The heroes inc or whatever "filler" was put in these boxes was obviously used to fill in the hole in the box that was created once it was skimmed.. Also it says these are"warehouse " books..was the warehouse under water? Whats up with all the water damaged books not disclosed?

"Conditions range from VG-VF/NM, mostly all unread but these are from a warehouse"

The water damged ones were actually "READ": by aquaman and namor

"Each box contains at least 300 MARVEL/DC of nearly every title from that era. All from the 1970's."

Except ASM,Avengers and any other main title To say NEARLY every title is a bit of a STRETCH

Does anyone know this sellers ebay name so i can see what kind of bronze he has for sale up there? Bet theres a skull the slayer 30 cent variant somewhere in the bunch( shown in ops picture)

And think about this too guys Which one of us is going to sell long boxes of UNSEARCHED 70s bronze for that price? ( of course he skimmed it) No one.. You buy it .. take what you want and sell the rest for whatever you can get for it.. At that price take what you want and use the rest for kindling BUT you sure dont pawn it off on other people as unsearched.. or make it sound like some great deal to recover your original purchase price PLUS PROFIT on top of that.Thats just WRONG!!

This guy needs to give anyone who is unhappy their money back..

Glad I found this post so I can avoid this seller ..

when we did the deal it was 20 boxes packed about 350-360 tight, with no heroes incs.except the case i threw in free as part of the deal. The 20 boxes were originally sold for $2000 ($100 a box.)

 

This whole thing stinks to high heaven.

 

You sell CS a TWENTY-longbox lot for $100 a box, toss in a Heroes Inc case for free, then he miraculously comes on selling FIFTEEN boxes, supposedly unsearched and for the "same price I bought them at" of $150 a box.

 

Do the math people, and CS obviously cherry-picked the 20 longboxes, sold off or kept about 6-7 of them (as Filter81 has confirmed), used the Heroes Inc to extend this to 15 longboxes full, then resold the remaining junk for MORE than he bought the original 20 longboxes for.

 

This is bad news, and from claims in his sales thread, this is an obvious scam perpetrated on the forum faithful.

Couldnt have said it better myself SCAM all the way.Sorry for anyone who fell for it.Refunds should be issued promptly.If comicseekers is worried about his "rep" he needs to issue the refunds asap..
