Not trying to be an individual_without_enough_empathy here, but what is the controversy with the WBN 37? Only a cover appearance? BTW nice collection...I may have some of the Hulk Mags when you are ready to buy...I know I have dupes of the first Moon Knight in the mag...

It looks like Moon Knight is on the cover, his name is on the cover, he's inside the book, but in someone's dream (or something like that). Some people say this isn't a Moon Knight appearance, as it's only a dream or an apparition of Moon Knight, others say it is Moon Knight. End. Of. Story. (I think) :shy:

    Andy

Its up for debate, to me he is on the cover, hes listed, shows his picture. Sounds like an appearance..... BUT.... Its a tough call due to the story. I also think of Incredible Hulk 182. Everyone wants the wolverine appearance, in a flashback. Or The Incredible Hulk 355 maybe ? Where he fights wolverine in a dream or some non-sense.

Simple resolve is. If you collect the story, not the art it doesnt count. If you want every comic with him drawn in it, you need it. Nice collection and good luck completeing it

  2. Boy the Forum only selling thread has gone to hell in a handbasket

    Hell and a Handbasket :cloud9:

I always wanted that issue in a 9.8....

    I hear Dale's got a dozen of them . . .

$5.00 shipped priority and ill take it.

I have some books in my thread that look like they'd be "hell and a handbasket" quality. Some are even $5....

Only HG Handbaskets.. CGC 9.8 or higher :sumo:

  3. The drama is THICK in here. Easiest way is to do a thread a week. Have highlighted material each week, maybe throw in some samples of next week. Anytime you add books to a thread it moves back to the front page , so if you are consistent with adding books you will stay up top. Having multiple threads 1 GA,1SA,1CA, etc.... Is just kind of overkill and hinders chances of anybody else selling off books they would like to get rid of. If you simply have "too much" that you would like to unload, make lots or see what I already said. If your list falls to the wayside it is because of inactivity, which is due to...... Inactivity.

I really dont care one way or the other what you do. I can always sit back and watch people dig in like pitbulls on a raw steak, some of the banter in here is quite amusing. I dont think it is persecution as stated before though, you reply therefore they reply. IT WILL GO ON FOREVER.. So best bet would try and make some friends, enjoy the witty remarks, and if all else fails people do sell on Ebay, C-Link, and so on.

  4. Yeah, I think everyone that read the thread knows how it played out.

Come on, even you disagreed with his earlier assertion that I was the lone gunman, and had, in actuality, come late to the party after all the fireworks were gone. Only in his last post did a hint of truth emerge, as he admitted that GA had hit him first (while neglecting to mention r1970d, Pitboss and a ton of others), and now suddenly I'm no big deal and had no effect on him or his thread.

So why did he continue to mention me by name, over and over and over? His version seems to change by the minute. First I'm Mr Evil, the reason for his thread being derailed, and the next, it's GA and others who did it, and I'm totally unimportant.

Man, it must suck to have Alzheimer's. lol

Reading this it sounds like a forum BBQ got out of hand and someone got beat up...

  5. I looked at his books when I first joined the boards. And when I asked about some books, someone chimed in stating they still hadnt received the books they ordered. How many times can someone be put on probation before they are just considered a habitual offender ?

  6. My 2 cents....I am pretty new here and not very experienced in comic buying and selling.,My first transaction was with Glenn was as follows:

    I responded to a comic he wanted.that I had.

    He made an offer.

    I countered.

    He met the offer.

He is near my area..I met him,he reviewed comic and paid me agreed upon price in Cash.

After deal was done he spent about an hour giving a novice like me an education on comics in general, also answering my specific questions.

You people be the judge of Glenn's integrity.........he has sold me!

    Steve

He showed up on my front porch saturday and threatened to break my legs if I didnt pay him.

Actually I bought alot of books from him on time payments, and we get along well and enjoy talking comics. I dont see any problems with the guy. Hes OK in my book .

  7. Looks like there were two mistakes made here:

    1) Seller failed to list the proper disclaimers for the sales thread (postage, form of payment, ect) and

    2) failure of the buyer to set terms completely before committing on the purchase

IMHO, the book belongs to the buyer and is pending payment, wether it's to a p.o. box or not. (shrug)

The seller, not having stipulated "no Paypal", should suck-up the fees.

    :hi:

After everything stated. Would you REALLY wanna deal with that person ?

I say suck it up and walk away. Sometimes things dont work as they should and in the end , It is best both parties walk away. After getting blasted the way Comcasthawk did, I wouldnt wanna send that guy money, or take his book.

  8. DEADBEAT Buyer- Glenn / Comcasthawk

    after Glenn / Comcasthawk

gave a thumbs up icon to confirm a deal on 03/30/08 08:26 AM

Re: Amazing Adventures #6 discounted price $60 + $1 for insurance.

I even agreed to take paypal (where I would need to pay for added mail tracking) when he did not want to send a check or MO. Then, I even agreed to split the creditcard charge when he said he did not have a paypal balance and wanted to use credit card funding.

He next made up false excuses (that I would not take paypal) and then ignored my emails until I emailed him through aol and finally he replied that he would "rather not complete this transaction, if you don't mind."

Am I reading this correctly ? Are you expecting the buyer of your stuff to pay your paypal fees ?

And if so did you mention this upfront in your sales thread ?

Some people do ask for paypal fees, but if that wasn't mentioned up front, then that's not fair at all to the accused.

    Andy

I would have gotten fed up with the price rolling too. If the seller couldn't do the original price , then the seller should have backed out. Simply stated " I would rather not do the paypal because of lost fees etc." would have sufficed, leaving the buyer the option to offer more to cover losses. But because the buyer became uneasy with the details and final price fees. Yea I woulda said forget it.

  9. My next sales thread will be started this week. This time it will be Silver Age Marvel Tales, some Bronze X-Men, Whitman Variant Brave and the Bold, Some Amazing Spidermans in the 200's, and a mix of other silver to currents. My other threads have been doing well, I managed to sell about 15 books so far and im quite content. This weeks goal will be $200.00.I want to ship a lot of books to CGC, so it will be first come first serve. If you have something you would like to see, PM me.

And I still have about 20 Miller Daredevil issues from 179 - 191.
