  5. Nik was one of the first forum members I ever met in person. The first time I sat and talked with him was at the NYCC forum dinner at Carmines, he was so nice to my wife and I and the next day he kind of brought me around the show and introduced me to a few guys like @joeypost who I still consider a friend to this day. Over the years we had a PM conversation that I still have saved in my PMs and I go to here and there to remember him and keep some of his life advice he gave me as a newlywed and a young father just having my first child. Nik was a genuinely nice, good hearted person who loved the hobby and many people in it. I still smirk when I think about him calling Golden Age junk. His passing made me cry, even though we only interacted through the boards and at shows I considered (and still do consider him to be) the best of this forum. And it has not and will never be the same since his passing. Those who knew Nik know what we lost here with his passing, and those who didn't really missed out on a great human being. He was the best of us and he is still missed, loved, and never forgotten. RIP Nik we miss you
  6. THIS!! I actually only attend conventions that offer on site grading as I know that there is all of the pre show buying done by dealers which limits my ability to find some decent deals.
  7. So what he wants is to make sure that only dealers can get first pick at books so they can increase price and profit. So on top of him setting up and making money, he also wants to get first crack at other dealers inventory so that he can personally benefit by adding to his inventory at a discounted rate, assuring the books purchased pre show are only going to other dealers who are there to sell comics. Personally, I have always paid for a dealers badge to cut down on time standing in lines. But if someone buys a badge and is willing to spend money before doors why in the heck is it his business. If he wants to get inventory cheaper, do it the old fashioned way.. buy collections. I think this is one of the more absurd things I have heard and really just sounds like belly aching about not getting crack at everything first.
  8. Any update on this? This is terrible to read
  9. Value Fast Track: SFG - 6/3 Looks like 6 weeks may have been a little optimistic?
  10. My modern subs have been overly tight, and my Value I was either on point or low by .2/.5
  11. Yea, my submissions are charged first thing. And the TAT are not great, but they have been worse. The impatience was really tongue in cheek though.
  12. No problem, glad to help out my fellow impatient friends
  13. Value Sub (5 books) 3/16 - Scheduled for grading 7/10 - Grading/QC
