  1. #3 was awesome! The art, the storytelling. This is becoming my favorite book out, Hillbilly is still my number 1. But strong case here!
  2. no reason... https://sadlemoncomics.com/blogs/news/thanks-to-cbsi Not seeing the connection Click the link, its contents: It's... It just isn't connecting the dots for me.
  3. I sell moderns and I buy pre-code horrors I've been playing that game on and off for a few years. Here's a taste. Those are some beauties! I'm sure that Chamber Of Chills isn't a #19 or else it would be front and center A grail for me. One day I'll have one. I bought my file copy for $200.00
  4. Sad isn't it. I hope its for the art, and not for a perception of "investment" isn't this whole thread just about store variants? No long term value in store variants, even if they make the print run 10, or 1. Using popular artists, good art, virgin covers to hide the store logo, etc, doesnt change what it is. Almost everywhere these are talked about, shown, or sold, no one says "store variant" or shows the "back cover".... PS Also, love that cBSi, lists their own store variant as the top book of their top 10 list. the lulz How is this is a CBSI variant?? Its frankies, sad lemon & 7 ate 9 variant no reason... https://sadlemoncomics.com/blogs/news/thanks-to-cbsi archived version: http://archive.is/Bauyl Not seeing the connection
  5. Read the insides? What are you, nuts? if you read it, it won't be a 9.8! People are sick!
  6. Better not. A grade is a grade. Unless you are considering manufacturing defects, in which case I doubt this falls into that category This is what I'd like to know. I thought if there was a known, verified manufacturing defect that every issues seems to have (my back covers look stunning too) then it would have a shot at a 9.8 wouldn't it? I want to say someone told me that a few years ago. Maybe a mod can chime in on this? Jerome if it were printing defects and there were enough examples to prove this, then yes. However, this defect looks to be an issue with the poly bagging process, which I don't believe is considered production.
  7. I like how the eBay listings for the variant either do not state a specified grade and just say "in a polybag" to avoid describing said condition, or post close-up pictures while in a polybag but don't show the middle of the cover -- where all the damage occurs. Pre sales with Guaranteed grades by people in this thread should keep it up. I bet many are nervous. yea, pre selling books is a recipe for disaster.
  8. IIRC 9.2 was the only claim made by the retailers offering it. I will gladly take your 9.2 for what you paid. I have to tell you, if theres one thing I never cared for on this forum is jerks. It must be REALLY awesome to be able to come here and just exhibit an insanely pompous attitude and expect everyone to put up with it. I don't understand why you feel the need to be so rude.

  10. Is it true that Frankies won't replace the damaged books? I want NM copies, not a refund? I paid when it was first released and have waited, kind of a bummer to get NM- books.
  11. Polybagged I brought up when they first said this that the DC foils that were polybagged, and I was basically told "different cover stocks, etc". Yet it would appear I was dead on that the books would suffer.
  12. Seven to Eternity #1 Graded copies are selling for $100+ one of them were mine.
  13. Same here, except the all look like they got elbow dropped by Macho Man. 9.4s after a press.
  14. Spook House!! Spook House was awesome. Chimi has been pretty fun too. Based on price, it's clear that Hillbilly's interest has come out of the clouds a bit. But likely also due to the time of year. Patrick Hillbilly is a good read, delays could kill the momentum. Spookhouse is just FUN! I will be picking up #2 today!
  15. Good for them. In my experience this was a tough book to get. I can usually find at least one copy of the new hot book and this one eluded me. I went ahead and put up my copies this week. That type of price appreciation that fast I am more then happy to take advantage off. I read it. While the art was very stunning the storyline didn't make me jump at the book like Saga did. It reminded me of some of the Image books from the 90s. I actually love the story. And am really enjoying Openas art. Don't get me wrong I like the art. And anything new he does I will look at. The story just didn't grab me. Ive been wrong before, but since I grabbed a few copies I will be happily wrong. Id love to see him do some books for DC or Marvel just to see how his flare would show up. I see him like a younger Marc Silverstri when he changed his art style from X-men to Cyberforce wouldn't you agree? I would be bummed to see him go to Marvel, they don't put anything out I like. Although Thanos 1 was good. I don't know that I would compare him to MS, but I am a fan of his art.

  17. Shame as I loaded up on the Moore variant, think I only have 2 of these left.
  18. Why is everyone trying to get stacks of this book? I picked up 2 copies, but seems like you guys are going a little hard.
  19. It is tonights read. Last night was Conan #4, which I have enjoyed that series immensely. Conan the Slayer??? I'm a big Conan fan but the past two ongoings didn't hold me all the way through. I read #1 of Slayer, and was not that stoked so I have not gotten the rest. The King Conan minis are all very good though IMO. Yea, I have enjoyed it. I never read Conan before, just picked it up on a whim.
