Forums are what their members choose to make them. We still have a choice in the ultimate direction of this place. There are dozens, hundreds, or more mature adults on this forum with the capability and desire to treat others with the respect they would demand for themselves. All it takes is for them to speak, be heard, and not relent. And doesn't it really boil down to this? Treat each and every boardie with respect and kindness and just ignore them if they aren't your cup of tea. These images are immature, disturbing and unhealthy and they specifically TARGET boardies Rupp doesn't like. Creating them is unacceptable and there's no room for this type of animosity on the boards. Agreed, I just avoid those I do not like, and imagine people who do not like me (though I could never see why) avoid me.

Obviously I just got here, but in general it takes a lot to actually offend me. Memes, even of shooting Sean's avatar, wouldn't do it. (Sorry Sean, you know I love ya!!) I halfway can see that until I think of all the animosity between the parties. This just isn't buddies goofing with each other. Like I said earlier, a ten year old would be a therapists office inside of ten minutes of developing something like that. Rupp has made clear over and over his dislike of Sean and Logan and Dale Roberts and others. He makes creepy freakin memes over and over about us. To be honest, after watching Rupp deflect, misdirect and flat out lie over these memes that you aren't offended by, I am actually a bit freaked out. A mentally normal person would just go away or at least offer up a half apology and move on. I don't know what he is capable of now. Seriously. Still doesn't "offend" me. And I doubt we have to worry about Rupp grabbing a meat cleaver and paying these Boardies a visit. I haven't looked at all the memes, partly 'cuz I don't care what each one is, and if there's terrible homophobia in there, that would bother me more. But it'd be more righteous indignation, not fear or offense. Sounds a lot like those neighbors they interview on the news "He always seemed so quiet." If I were the subject or you, I wouldn't begrudge you the right to feel however you want about something like that. I know I've been here almost 12 years and this isn't the kind of board I ever envisioned or ever wanted to be a part of. I agree with comix on this. This is not what I envisioned. Seems we are all in the minority as there are 1000's of boardies, and only a handful have been posting on this topic the last few days. But like Pat and a few others have said, I am not one to just watch people be bullied from EITHER side. Most either don't want to get involved or don't care. In my heart I hope Rupp comes on here and makes this right and the other guys can accept an apology and move on. All this has got way out of hand. I can't stand the mob mentality here. And to side with someone when they are wrong, you need to be checking your own morals.

I have much worse stuff in my comic collection. I imagine most here do. You've got comics where boardies are murdered in effigy with homophobic slurs as it's being committed and other comics where a boardie claims to have had sex with another boardies wife and fathered all of that boardies children? Might I suggest switching to Charltons? :: pretty much. I would have laughed if he had made family photo with my avatar mixed in there. Seriously. Oh, and I do have many Charnalton's in my collection. So if someone, who didn't like you and wasn't friends with you, created a pic of your family and asked how your wife and his kids were doing, insinuated that he was not only sleeping with your wife but also fathering your children you'd be ok with that? That doesn't cross any line? If someone walked up to you and said that it wouldn't buy them a a five finger discount on a knuckle sammich? I just laughed

It has already been established that people have went into Rupps personal PB acct and pulled out these memes. They are very, very disturbing but were never intended to be shown to the public. Also , it is disturbing that someone can go into your personal acct and take something to show around to folks. I am disappointed in all involved here. That meme Lizards just posted from General is just as disturbing and of a real person. I believe that is from a movie. And while graphic, is not actually someone's head exploding.

No offense intended as I don't know you or your history with Rupp. I don't think you deserved it at all. But with all due respect, the avatar is a cartoon, not a Picture of you. Maybe you are more sensitive than I am. I don't think I would give a care if someone made a meme of my Avatar in a negative light. It does not define me. Regardless, it obviously upset you and he should apologize. I don't think people should engage in behavior that upsets others. Did you think the blood and bone shooting out of the side were a nice touch? Those weren't cartoons. Did you like the hate speech? A negative light?!?! You have got to be kidding me. A negative light? Wow. Yeah, I saw it. Like someone else said, it looks like that Robot Chicken animation. And I do not condone hate speech in the least. This entire fiasco is very upsetting because I love this place and enjoy interacting with everyone here. I don't know his motivations for creating that image and my hope is he comes on here and apologizes. I am not belittling your feelings in the least, I just question Rupps motives and intent. I do not believe he desires to hurt anyone. My avatar is death... Just sayin'

I realize I am the minority here as I will actually stand up for myself, but what kind of place did you grow up where you never had to answer for your actions? If you did it, you did it. Been a long time since I have seen someone lay it straight in a manner that is actually befitting a rational human being. I know what its like being a doosh and being pushed around by a doosh. One thing that really bothers me is that there are still these stupid "clicks" here, and mocking each other behind there backs. I have never, ever been able to stand talking behind peoples backs. I find it immature and just pathetic. You don't like someone, fine. You wanna run your mouth, do it to me, dont let me hear it from someone else. I just read the whole thread. I would be IRATE if I had seen anything posted about my wife, my suicide, the gay one I would probably laugh. But the others are no-no's. Very low class.

I agree with Chris. I can tell you now, I would not take light of the situation. It seems that there are some seriously screwed up folks here. I would think that this should be grounds for a banning, and I do not even know who is being discussed.

"Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time" Exactly How are you supposed to learn from your mistakes if there are no consequences? What is supposed to teach you to not do it again? Forget that you know he's a 12 year old kid. Now think about how long the lies and manipulation and fraudulent activity has been going on, and some of you want to say "he's just a kid"... He should absolutely be treated as an adult would. If I were a judge I'd give the kid jail time for fraud activities and then I'd sleep like a baby. His mother and father were teaching him the business of commission sales, if you really went through his fathers Facebook you would see that. Stereotypical screwed up family. Dad has a FB page of all these charities and religious , but in the end he is teaching his son how to deceive, cheat others, scam people, and create false faces in order to make money. Extremely unethical in every single way. I can tell you now, I would beat my sons but black and blue.

I received my money back, I am happy that he did not flake and run off with my money. There is hope for the boy. I hope he can learn honesty and ethics as what he has been doing is very wrong.

He's a kid, Pat, my bet is his reading this thread and he's embarrassed,but I think he will do the correct thing. I was never a preteen boy, but some of you might remember that time...I'm sure he'll come through...and If not, I think someone will send you a facebook link (discretely) He seems to enjoy comics. I'd hate to see his future in the hobby ruined by a stupid decision this early in his life. I'm sure he'll take care of his unresolved transactions so he can save his reputation for the future. For what it is worth I do not want to discourage him, but I am uncomfortable due to the circumstances.
