I hear you...I'm pretty much a straight up collector...when I sell stuff, it's either because I've upgraded, or I've decided to no longer collect something...so, I tend to fall more on the "board flipping is annoying" side of things. However, I've seen the debates about this on here before, and I understand both sides of the argument. Also, I've come to understand that it's just part of the current landscape. I'm one who doesn't understand the problem. Ed, if you bought a book from me say at $50 because I'm liquidating books and in a hurry to get cash, and you realize the book is worth considerably more to the right buyer, why would you feel obligated to resell it for only $50? There is neither sin in seeking profit nor is there any exclusive right of "dealers" to buy cheap and sell dear. Its a free market for everyone. That is the beauty of it, and that it is a free market likely contributes to the volume and variety of books available for you to collect. The issue has always been with people trying to get a deal in any way and then resell here at a higher price, effectively rubbing the original sellers nose in it. And the debate is very old, I have never cared for in forum flips, I have always seen them as poor form. For awhile some of us even entertained how long should there be posession before flipping on the boards. But again, I never cared for it, and try to avoid dealing with those who do this.

It brings me back to when Nik was still with us and board flipping was very frowned upon, now I avoid 80% of sellers because they just flip books they buy here.

I bought books from edowens. They were tightly graded and priced fairly. If someone is marking up the grades, the books are now over graded. I was not the buyer he spoke of.

Yep - kudos for transparency. I suppose the argument is that the press was a value-adding service that he provided for the next owner of the book. Problem with that is that the book would be worth less to me now than it was pre-press...but that's just me...I'm probably in the minority Correct

You know what, you're right Joey. I apologize, I should have pmd you a suggestion and not blasted you publicly. I was wrong to do it. When I'm wrong, I'm wrong. And it was wrong. I stand by that I will not take any threats lightly, but I do admit that I instigated it. So this is my honest, no sarcasm apology.

I have noticed comments deleted. I won't be commenting further. Other than my usual witty banter. And maybe a sales thread, with a moderate mark up.

By the way, it is in bad form to apologize to your cronies on a sales "discussion" thread and not to the person who's thread you crapped on. what a winner I dont like you, and we should never talk.

This is why you're cool. You didn't start a thread about this in CG whining about how you were "threatened" just so you could get the guy a strike. I disagree. A keyboard hardman Dirty Jersey strike call-out would have been awesome. Sean.. He says he is coming to "talk" Oct. 13th in Clifton.

I will say that I find it extremely ridiculous that he decided to play the tough guy card. But I let him know who I am and where I set up if he really wants to talk to me.
