Only Jr.'s collection will be in Pa.? None of his fathers art will be displayed?
Very few could care less about Jr's personal art. But he does own some of his father's pieces as part of his collection.
It seems like Rodriguez' version of the museum will have the best quality art.
Oh well...

If you have any intention of purchasing a page like this, you do need to know the difference. Because the other bidders won't know and care about the difference.

I'd agree, about every 6-12 months. Only about once a year do I find something on ebay that I really fight for.

A well-known dealer is offering several panel pages from Fantastic Four #99, and I'm dying to talk about them!
Are the prices listed the going rate for this era FF innards? There have already been a few sold or held.
Are these just not that big a deal? I've not read a mention of them here.
I'd also like to hear from others about the prices on those FF 99 pages.
You scored a great page!
I only got into collecting in the last decade, well after you. Sadly, I missed out on those valuable years of CBG art.

While I would not have mounted "replacement stats" on the original Swan piece, I might have done it on an overlay.
There are several takeaways here:
1) People do try to "restore" art and Coollines is one place that does.
2) Proper restoration is hard.
3) Be an informed buyer
Great advice, I did not realize restorations (recreations?) went into that extent!
I notice that art on their site seems bone white, do they bleach as part of restoration?
The same art in the Heritage archive shows a much darker color from tanning.

Don't buy OA if it means you have to live under a bridge (gets the art wet).
Well... there goes that plan!

That would never stop me from getting one (as I'm really lazy about scanning my collection for the internet). It would just stop me from getting a good idea of what these things look like. Hopefully, I'll know some of the collectors that are getting them, and they can just email me.
Agreed! It hasn't deterred me.
My friends will see the art, one way or the other.

And here's my replacement Neal Adams cover:
Wonderful Terry, thanks for all the scans and stories. Neal Adams covers for $75 - $150, the stuff of legend!

I am thrilled to present this great bronze age splash
Very nice!!! Congrats Michael!

Also... I wouldn't mind knowing if this exists, even if I can't afford to own it myself. Just the fact that someone has it would be interesting to me.
Classic, I can't blame you, I can only dream of owning this too!

When Spencer updated his site with more Marshall Rogers art, I managed to get 2 Mr. Miracle pages (3rd series). I didn't realize until I got them that they were page 1 and 3 of a 3 page sequence, so when I had the chance, I went back and bought the middle sequence now here they are:
of course now I notice that the next 2 pages are still on his site, heh, I'll grab them next!
Malvin
Congrats Malvin - nice find and great sequence!

Won this on ebay last night. It was too cute to pass up. I got it to put up on my son's wall.

..and here is the second piece..anyone know who the artist is?
The art seems like Mike Wieringo, but the signature isn't his usual style

Who's that by?
Sheldon Moldoff

Great Piece!
Do you know when it was done?

You have shared really outstanding and mind-boggling work.
Collecting has become near obsessive for me, but this is a piece I am extremely pleased to own, and its found a permanent place in my collection.

That explains why at Pittsburgh - in September, Jim told people he was not taking commissions.
I got mine earlier this year, and it was only a 2-3 month wait. And he was great with communication. For me, it was well worth his asking price.
