Took a while but finally able to check this off my want list.

This book has a great self referencing story about a comic artist / writer who encounters creatures of fantasy from his imagination.... My notes have it listed as a real good precode with weird twisted artwork. And one not too often seen for sale. Well done.

  3. Oh yeah, I forgot about this one, Jay. Guess it's my second favorite mummy cover - at least of the ones I own.

    That's the one! :applause:

Most other mummy covers have them just standing there looking scary while this cover has him doing some precode nastiness!

    Nice copy!

    Nastiness huh?

I always thought he was giving her tickets for the carnival rides.

  4. sorry no link, but did you guys see the ending results on ebay for that very tanned copy of Amazing Mysteries 32. I knew the ending price would be strong but with the condition of the book it went above what I had estimated. And that made me wondering how rare is this first Atlas Horror book. Lets see how many are owned by board members.

Here's mine purchased about 25 years ago.

Yeah saw that. My theory was that someone needed the interior to marry to a cover but who knows? (shrug) I don't have a 32 but do have this baby!
