  1. Absolutely! That way, I get to "like" it twice!
  2. Yeah, what FL said. A startler like that gets to be in as many threads as it wants!
  3. For the same reason that, if you were speaking to him, you'd call Norrin Radd, "Surfer", or The Vision, "Vision". You wouldn't ever say; "Hey, The Hulk, come have some beans!" Happily, they stopped referring to him as "Thing", and just went with "Ben".
  4. We do have some great people here that can rekindle the joy. The stuff in the books is good for that too.
  5. I understand your confusion. You’re right; Panic 1 was easy and cheap. Then the universe heard that I kind of wanted one, and the pricing you see now kicked in. The good news is, after I get a copy and then make the decision to sell it, prices will drop right back down again.
  6. I used to feel exactly the same way. But after some great interactions with boardies like Jon Berk and the ever-effervescent Billy Parker, I honestly believe that the “big dogs” are NOT looking down on anyone’s collection. I think people here just want us to be genuinely enthusiastic about our comics; whatever they may be.
  7. I’m sure you’ll find an 8.0 that looks like a nine.
  8. Of all your yella books, that’s the yellaest.
  9. I just spent 4 minutes imagining how great that would be.
  10. I hesitate to post mine. I don’t want Lou, WVD or Straw to feel bad about their collections.
  11. Problem with reds to problem with the reds.
  12. I agree that they’re fun. And while it’s certainly possible that I’m underestimating their current value, the last time I looked (< 2 years) I could buy a similar grade #1 for $5.
  13. Maybe not drek now, but I did buy almost all of them out of the quarterbox.
  14. I don't have pictures of my drek (yet), but some quarterbox favorites include Alien Legion The Question (O'Neil) Untold Tales of Spider-Man Marvel Two-In-One Top Ten Leave It To Chance Plop! FF: The World's Greatest Comic Magazine And on, and on, and on. The best thing about these is that they have NO resale value, so I get to keep them til I die!
  15. Space Ranger cover to Space Ranger innards
  16. Good luck! King #1 was on my list for a long time. I had a couple chances to be your white knight here, but alas. I never caught a copy.
  17. It is amazing, but I actually prefer 29. Just more to love! Happy birthday, Bats.
  18. Fabulous book; and welcome, prematurely, to the club. We’ll send the forms over. Number two pencil, please.
