  1. By the way, if your name is Eric and you want your book back, hit me up. We can trade. The reading copy is a second print.
  2. I thought I would post a few of my slabs with my reader copies just for sharts and giggles.
  3. Love it! One of the few I still need to find a copy of to finish my run.
  4. That was actually more along the line of what I was wondering myself.
  5. Where do you think the Church Marvel 1 would fall? I've heard its nearly flawless IIRC.
  6. A new addition to the collection. Even if it is a cross post.
  7. Point Fives scan of his #16 just struck me as so much nicer than the scans I was getting I figured I would experiment on the new arrival a bit. Now I want to re-scan all my GA. I noticed the biggest difference in how my scans look is when I actually wear my glasses. I really need to do that more.
  8. There are a whole lot of Disney books on that list. I had no idea they were that popular in the late 70's. The last Overstreet I have (47) only has a small handful of Disney books in the top 100.
  9. Thank you. The colors from the scan are a good representation of the book in hand. I actually scanned it again after my initial post using a higher resolution and it looks really nice, but no need to double post. I've always been a bit disappointed in my scans, I figured it was time I learned how to use the Vue Scan software better.
  10. Scan of the new addition without the mylar and glare. I used Ghost Towns scanner settings and I really like the result.
  11. I almost never see a copy of #22 come up. The 5.0 W that just sold at Heritage went for $13,200.00 with BP. I suspect it must be one of the scarcer issues. My #s 12 and 16 for fun.
  12. Thanks! I actually got it for the opening bid price the first time it was listed. The seller resisted it so I could snag it. I'm very happy, been a looong time since a new Top Notch made it my way.
  13. No kidding! That is one ugly 9.6. However, if you look at the title for the first listing, the book is called issue #166. In the second listing, it's noted as issue #169. That may be a reason the book was re-listed. I can't find any completed or sold listings on eBay for this particular copy (my search-fu may be weak sauce) so I am not sure if seller made any statements about the grade/damage in the listing itself. However, it appears the seller has taken multiple, up close photos of the damage on this copy. The seller did not have to, they could have taken a pic of the book sitting on a chair five feet away with no way to see any of the damage, only that big 9.6 in the corner. There are photos of the label and photos of the book. Buy the book, not the label.
  14. That is an excellent point. Some materials have become unobtainium in the last year and a half. Supply chain issues have slowed auto manufacturing to a crawl. Who's to say CGC hasn't had similar issues, but just isn't advertising them.
  15. $1k minimum bid on the TMNT #4 9.2 sig series is very optimistic.
