  1. And now, we've gone from "waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too much" to simply "crazy money": http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASM-Amazing-Spider-man-678-1-50-Venom-Variant-CGC-SS-9-8-Stan-Lee-1-1-/160888133279?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2575ae169f&ssPageName=RSS:B:SHOP:US:101 K. Why buy a Walking Dead 1 in CGC 9.9 when you can buy that. Jesus Christ. Looks like he got lucky also getting a 9.8 since his other two newly listed books are 9.6 Yikes, anybody know if it's a boardie?
  2. 9.99 starting bid, no reserve. Wonder what it will go for... http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-WALKING-DEAD-100-Lucille-Variant-CGC-9-8-Signature-Series-Image-Comics-/310447684923?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item48481fbd3b
  3. The book is selling for waaaaaaaaaay too much money. I had the first on the census and I sold it for $85 graded to my #1 ASM subscriber right when it came out. I've seen the book all year long at cons. I think people are doing a good job of artificially inflating the price on eBay. Come to think of it I think I have a raw copy laying around somewhere.
  4. You guys like the naughty pictures...
  5. Yuppers The next two Monday census updates should be interesting, all the last minute Lucilles subbed Fast Track before last Friday's deadline. I have two that were sent in, one for a local store owner for his own collection (9.4/9.6) + another 9.8 candidate for me.
  6. Also the census has been updated on the Lucille Edition of 100 13 9.8 SS 7 9.6 SS 1 9.2 SS
  7. Damn, looked at my grades as well today. Six more Walking Dead 9.9s, Second Printings of 97 & 99.
  8. Or ... you could put them up for sale in the FS forum instead of trying to solicit offers in here Please, quit being such a nerd Sure thing - the second you stop acting like a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed  It takes one to know one. Oh, yes, that 5th grade comeback certainly put me in my place. Why is this even a discussion? Trying to sell your books outside of the FS forum isn't allowed here, so quit pretending that the rules don't apply to you. Whatever Adonis, I have another eight of them coming back from CGC in 9.8... You can have your one sale outside the sales forum. :: You should know the rules by now. lol I just had to laugh at this. Thanks Dre! Yeah, but you really should know the rules by now.

  10. First they show them off at a con, have an event for charity. Then they auction them off on eBay. When you buy them off eBay they give you the option of having them sent to CGC then to you so they can be SS.
  11. Tell me what you know? TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!! Please tell me what you know? Tell ME what you KNOW. Please? Pretty please? Cherry on top? Really, you don't know how they auction them off?
  12. Midtown Comics put their WD 100 CGC 10.0 up for sale on their website on Tuesday/Wednesday. I almost bought it since it was only $385... Sold out now.
  13. I saw the copy my LCS submitted as well - it was an easy 9.8 ... Hey Mike bump your subscription thread for me - it's like 30 pages back in my PM list. The last issue of RASL is on it's way back. (thumbs u
  14. They put a deadline on submitting these to get yellow labels? Forgive my ignorance, I was gone for 2 weeks and this may have come up while I was gone. Yes, today is the submission deadline (postmarked at post office). Apparently some raw unsigned got into the wild so they are cutting off subs as of today to combat any fraud sigs that may occur.
  15. FYI I have a 9.8 Lucille SS coming back, and so does another boardie. That makes at least 3 100 9.8 SS Lucille's that should make the census upon next update on Monday. I talked to the boardie over the weekend about his, and with other dealers & boardies and consensus was a starting price of $2000 - $2500 with best offer attached so I'm not surprised by the $2500 asking price. I'm just surprised no best offer was included. I've had about 20 in my hands the past few weeks and I've been only confident submitting one so far. I'm subbing one for a local store owner today because of the deadline but I expect that to come back 9.6, maybe even 9.4.
  16. Well I can say there will be at least two more copies of the second printing in 9.8 once the census gets updated next Monday. Also, finding the 4 copies in 9.8 was hard for me. Could be just the area I'm in though. A lot of stores didn't order the second printing. Believe it or not but I normally sell some graded second prints for more than the first prints when I have extra copies. A lot of stores don't order them and so in turn they generally are harder to find. The completionist collectors are always contacting me looking for reprintings in CGC 9.8
  17. True story - I was sitting at a restaurant the other evening with my Fiancée, looked out the window and blurted out "we're gonna have an earthquake." I don't know why but something felt strange... We had one at 3:30 AM that night centered in nearby Beverly Hills. I woke up and laughed while it was happening. True story.
  18. Someone gave me the heads up on what's going on this thread so I decided to chime in. You like me! You really really like me! I wish I really knew where all this so called money some people think I'm sitting on. Selling CGC 9.8 Revivals for $35 to board members... Guess my business model sucks. I don't get to go through all the books like so many people seem to believe, in fact sometimes I don't sort through books until late in a show. I didn't pull my poyos at SDCC until the second day of the con... And I helped board members and other customers in line while I did it. Btw must be crazy selling that book for $25 while they were going for $75+ on eBay. Again, guess my business model sucks, never been one to gouge though. You don't me, have never met me, know what I do, or what I go through or deal with on a daily basis so don't pretend to understand me on any level please. . I live in an apartment, and not my mother's basement though. Don't sideswipe with niceties first then trickle in the bs. There's no cover on that, people are too smart. Come full on or go home.
  19. I never give specualtion or advice but I had no particular interest in this book for my own collection but have decided to keep a set of #1, and all issues going forward for myself. And I haven't even read an issue yet. There is a reason, and one day it may come to light. My advice, hold on to a set of #1s graded for yourself.
  20. Now where did that stack of CBLDF Sketches come from? I forgot how many I grabbed in San Diego.
  21. This has got to be one of the funniest threads ever.
  22. My copies all look fine. Got like 10 of them.
