Picked these up the other day at 1/2 Price Books at their 20% off sale. Got the Secret Wars and Zap for $4 each after the discount. I think the Zap is a 3rd printing. Got the rest for $1.20 each.

Whenever humans are involved you cant really trust 100% of the results, its just human nature. There's always going to be some sort of unfairness/disappointment/favoritism/cheating. Everyone has their personal biases.

Also, I'm sure it was mentioned in the story; how long was Rick in his coma before he woke up?

I thought the issue was alright, I was looking for a little more action but I was really surprised at the ending though. Mr Big Bad @ss crying like a baby. That cover to 59 is awesome, cant wait!

This was my very first comic book ever. Mine though is tattered and has my name written on it! I'm not really looking forward to the movie since I heard theyre making Joe some sort of "Global" organization instead of good 'ole USof A.

No contact whatsoever. I know of someone that tried to contact him through his myspace page with no results, and this was just a few days ago while Gilberto was online. I was willing to give him a little leeway at first but it just appears now that he took everyone's comics/money.

Anyways, Just to let everyone know that I got my $14 back through paypal for the money I sent Batfan and never received my comics. I was one of the lucky one's to pay him through paypal since I know he told some of the other guys on here that he didnt use paypal. I still lost out on two books that I sent him on a trade (I was supposed to get Wolverine #1 and #10) that he eventually sold on here. At least I was able to recover something.

How soon do you think before they show some sort of authority/control? I know its a comic book/fantasy land but if Rick and his merry band are able to take control of the prison/etc then there has to be much more out there where either military/police have taken over a large area and are slowly regaining control. I mean no helicopters/air planes seen all this time? Or am I being too critical?

Anyone hear any updates on Batfan (gilberto torres)?

As of now I'm still holding out that there's a good reason as to why we havent heard from him yet and will hopefully get our comics soon.

He's slow to ship but keep reminding him. He hasn't posted here or at another board he frequently posts in for a week now, so it may be that he's been unable to take care of your orders for some reason or another. I sent out a MO to Gliberto on 9/9/08. He has answered my PMs, but it has been mostly one excuse after the other. The last PM was on 10/25 stating that my book would ship by 10/31 with confirmation. I haven't heard anything back or received a book yet. Cheers, I purchased some Walking Dead and did a trade with Gilberto and sent him $$ through paypal. He said he would be shipping and this was back on the 28th when I last heard from him. I'm out $18 and a Iron Man #128 and Batman Superman #1 that I sent in the trade. Havent seen him posting in the other forum he usually goes too also.
