  1. None, it just wasn't on a flat surface in those pics
  2. For anything of value or covers I love and are high grade I always want to get them graded. Love the look of them in a cgc case. I might wait for that event like you said as for me this was a rare find and definitely wouldn't sell right now in this market.
  3. My paranoia with that before was that they'd grade my book lower so it would be within the threshold. Then I realized that would be alot less $ for them lol. I'll do that then.
  4. It's my newbie luck (see past grades lol) vs cgc harsh graders. Guess I'll see if it runs out soon. Although I just saw there's a signature series available for this comic with Bob sharen. So maybe I'll have that ss grade bump on my side too lol.
  5. Btw, what grading tier do you think I should put this under?
  6. Yes I think this one might just stay. I'm thinking for alot of the comics I've bought this year they've over corrected. I do think it's a good time to get things graded though it seems. At least in my case.
  7. Damn well here's hoping. It was a really weird shop. Newly priced comics labeled nm yet had holes through the cover page and such, and then at the end of this new box the owner shows to me I find this. Couldn't say no.
  8. LOL. No clue how I did it but as I was about to walk out of a store I noticed this for 100$ in the back of a random bin. I am hopeful for a 9.4, might wait to send in for a signature series. Also everything to be posted after this is apart of the same buy today. All for 220$.
  9. Fine by me honestly lol. This chat almost made me not send this in but I decided to say screw it and try. I'm going to be doing a big submission soon due to all my luck. Although these comics genuinely look perfect so I will be getting 8.5s on all.
  10. So this is in a pgx casing, there was never a press/ clean. I got this for about 40$ cad a few months ago and I was wondering if you guys think it would be worth sending into cgc. Also, any cuts or tears you see are actually on the casing not the comic. Not really sure what cgc would grade this, I think about a c&p a 8.5?
  11. 5.0 I mean come on its from 1939 if you're grading this harshly you got issues.
  12. 7.5 as is. If you can get a really professional press n dry clean, 9.2+. I think most of the issued you can do something about.
  13. Hahahahah I have been very lucky with my submissions. Honestly, these would probably be my lottery tickets currently as I'm buying these comics for cheap typically. When I grade these comics myself I look at a glance for glaring issues, if there's any color breaking spine ticks then I just say no typically. Then I look closer and see what detracts from its appearance. If it's really minor stuff where I feel like it doesn't detract much just by looking normally, then I buy. That's how I've graded for my first submission at least.
