  1. I did before I did the big sell off. Need to get it all re-organzied. And yes... I do enjoy baging and boarding. It's meditative.
  2. Lucky dog.....I'm in the office from 5:45am to 5:00pm, 5 days a week Yah, but if you take away the time you are on the boards, you are only working like 20 minutes a day
  3. ewwwww.... running a fever? somebody's got the swine flu... and right before baltimore
  4. that wouldn't be too awful... get to sleep in some. Would you have internet access?
  5. There you go proving me wrong. I figured you bailed on us at 4:30
  6. Offer free service to those in the sales thread PM. Done!! Don't see how that improves my chances but You now have a group to lobby for you.
  7. Offer free service to those in the sales thread PM.
  8. From Ebay - a "former" board member. Phigam? let me konw if it turns out ok. to be honest I'm itching watching that #2 SS 9.9
  9. yep, it's sad that they had to make another "common sense" law. you would have thought people wouldve known this prior to 1996. There's a new one coming down the pipe for next year that is like the HIPAA on steroids law. I can't remember the name of it right now, but I'm already having to go through all my data systems to make sure we are compliant. And you are right about people should know. Little HIPAA fact for you. Legally, because of HIPAA, I cannot look at my own medical records while I'm at work (caveat being that I work at the same healthcare system that I get my healthcare from). I have to fill out all of the same paperwork as if I wanted someone else to look at them, but specify myself as a permitted party. How smart is that?
  10. It might be a state thing. You do live in a somewhat dark bluish purple state rather than the beaming fire truck red state that I live in.
  11. J - do you have to go through all of the HIPAA training for your current company?
  12. ugh... I just had to forcibly stop myself from going into way to many details on FMLA... I've been working at the hospital way to long, it was like second nature to start describing all of the FMLA caveats.
  13. It's all dependent on if you think you'll be able to find another job after the six months. If you think you can, then I wouldn't stress. My current job is actually protected by law. I plan on giving my current company notice and taking paternity leave which obligates them legally to hold my position. Do you have something similar in the US? yes, the family medical leave act. it is a fed law that allows time from work due to med reasons US gov doesn't consider paternity leave as part of FMLA.
  14. NO We live in these "conservative" United States. It's the woman's job to raise the child. There's no reason the man should not be at work and with the child at home instead. These views do not necessarily represent those of the person posting them.
  15. BTW Jeff - you are getting a free corporate express notepad with that SOL book. I stuck it in the middle of it to make the envelope rigid.
  16. Perhaps too unrelated to comics. Any word on the career change Jason? Or am I interrupting play time? not interupting, had to take a call to explain to someone why we aren't allowed to give out patient information to vendors... All of the little tests I can find online say I either need to go into data entry or the military ... neither of which I would ever do. So I think I'm just going to keep my head down for the next six months, work on my degree, and see whats out there when I am a few months from finishing that. My wife really wants to try to get a transfer to her companies branch in Spain when she makes Tax Manager next year and if that happens I wont have to work at all. Everythings up in the air right now, so it's been difficult trying to decide which career avenue to pursue.

  18. and let me "pre-review" the book and say... it's going to be awesome bc it's based on Max Brooks WWZ, another movie that I am eagerly awaiting.
  19. It's actually a pretty thick GN for the 17.99. Thicker than a lot of the Marvel TPBS that are 19.99 right now. Plus I got a pretty good discount from the LCS (www.zeuscomics.com) because I've been moving a lot of my floppy business from DCBService.com to them.
  20. Deadpool was good. Read it in the car waiting at the BBQ drive through. Picked up Haunt, Kill Audio, and the World War Z: Recorded attacks GN. I'll let you know how they are when I finish them up.
