Most of the drama on the boards is over bad transactions. Adding another forum where drama on an exponential scale can be released is not a good idea IMHO.

I'm curious why you can't just ignore the drama and get on with what you're doing

People who break the rules? They will always be around, but they will always be a minority. Making 9 of out 10 people suffer by not supporting a format because 1 in 10 is a "less than intelligent person" seems to be a heavy-handed approach to me. Don't allow your life to be guided by these people. They are trifling people and will always be trifling people. (like the people who incessantly gripe about the Donnelly bros in the art forum.. shut up already.)
Why would we ignore drama over bad transactions? That's what the PL and HoS are for...it's how we try to keep this place kosher. -

Please remember that all sale items must be grouped into as few threads as is reasonable. Auctions are not a supported format on the boards -- and while we allow posts about them here, we don't want them to dominate the discussions. Thank you for your cooperation.

The more I read this thread, the more it sounds like E-Bay. I'm beginning to think the Boards are not the right venue for auctions. If you want to put your books in an auction then pay the fee and use E-Bay, Clink, etc.

Would people get to run more than one auction at once?
Generally I am very much in favour of making a separate area for auctions.
IMO to allow more than one at the same time would be a catastrophe, it would overwhelm the system, within a day you would have to scroll through a 100 pages to see what is "new". For the people who want to run auctions it would bury any given auction underneath an avalanche, and thus be self defeating.

If I want to sell ten comics, and I for some reason want them to be auctions, it's gonna take me like 20 days to sell them, assuming my auctions only run for two days. Why not allow two or three auctions to run concurrently?

I have been paid and will pay either way depending on the seller. I was sent a check for just shy of 5 figures. Why? The buyer trusted me as a seller and got a discount. I have paid a couple of guys via the same method. Why? Because in return I got a discount. Would I send most guys a check? Nope.
Do people even have checks anymore?

Weird Comics #15, June 1941. Another Dart and Ace cover edging towards war themes. And it's another post-Eisner/Iger Fox cover that looks like it was knocked out in a hurry, but I love the loud colors and the big cheesy grins on the heroes' faces. Every early golden age superhero book should look this cheerful and stupid.

Mostly though, I find them annoying so putting them in their own forum is key.
