1. thats part of the resin we see 100 million dollar formaldehyde sharks and pischrists….. TO PROVOKE A REACTION = ART.

but we don't have to deal with that because we don't live in that "art world" but thats how THEY think, and they are playing the game. We collect comic books. We find each others interests equally absurd don't we?

    Not all of us, no.

  2. Most of the drama on the boards is over bad transactions. Adding another forum where drama on an exponential scale can be released is not a good idea IMHO.

    Hmm, that's a decent point.

I'm curious why you can't just ignore the drama and get on with what you're doing

    it's not difficult to avoid

also, it gets to what I said earlier

People who break the rules? They will always be around, but they will always be a minority. Making 9 of out 10 people suffer by not supporting a format because 1 in 10 is a "less than intelligent person" seems to be a heavy-handed approach to me. Don't allow your life to be guided by these people. They are trifling people and will always be trifling people. (like the people who incessantly gripe about the Donnelly bros in the art forum.. shut up already.)

??? Why would we ignore drama over bad transactions? That's what the PL and HoS are for...it's how we try to keep this place kosher.

  3. Would people get to run more than one auction at once?

Generally I am very much in favour of making a separate area for auctions.

IMO to allow more than one at the same time would be a catastrophe, it would overwhelm the system, within a day you would have to scroll through a 100 pages to see what is "new". For the people who want to run auctions it would bury any given auction underneath an avalanche, and thus be self defeating.

My 2c is that it is crucial that we have a consensus that each member can only run one auction at a time.

I dunno about that. If I want to sell ten comics, and I for some reason want them to be auctions, it's gonna take me like 20 days to sell them, assuming my auctions only run for two days. Why not allow two or three auctions to run concurrently?

[font:Book Antiqua]Because someone will abuse the system

posting as many books (At the same time) as the rules allow...

    2c

If you post as many as are allowed, you're not abusing the system.

  5. Weird Comics #15, June 1941. Another Dart and Ace cover edging towards war themes. And it's another post-Eisner/Iger Fox cover that looks like it was knocked out in a hurry, but I love the loud colors and the big cheesy grins on the heroes' faces. Every early golden age superhero book should look this cheerful and stupid.

Can these guys fly, or do they spend all their time jumping out of planes without parachutes?

  6. I'd like to hear from more people on this.

    How would it work?

    A single auction forum [font:Book Antiqua](yes),

or a separate one for each age? [font:Book Antiqua] (No)

Would people be allowed only one book per thread[font:Book Antiqua] (yes)

or be forced to group them up? [font:Book Antiqua] (No)

Agreed, except I don't see why folks can't have more than one auction at a time. Say, three at a time max?

Mostly though, I find them annoying so putting them in their own forum is key. :)
