    He changed his mind when people got on his case about it, so maybe we cut him a break. Not everyone is born with full knowledge of the sacrosanctity of deals on The Boards.

     

    If he'd gone the typical, "You comic nerds hiding behind your computers in mom's basement make me laugh out loud with my Huge Rims" route, it'd be a different story.

     

    Again though, he types everything like a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed. He claims that he sees it all of the time with no comments. Since when? Then says the "only thing I apologize for" is the fact it is being commented on in the thread. Hes not really accepting much responsibility there. A simple, "I didn't know that was not allowed. I apologize and will of course pay for the books." would have went a long way.

    Yeah, I hear you. Still, he didn't go full condescending blowout, so it could be worse.

    Good point being made about the Marvel Tuesday event being all about the movies.

     

    Marvel Studios Teases Mystery Press And Fan Event

    What is the special event? Well, since Marvel Studios is specifically mentioned on the press event, it rules out it being some type of comic book announcement. To set expectations, the special event could really range from being something relatively minor to being something huge. Disney has not revealed the details behind the special event, so the below is pure speculation.

     

    On the minor side, the event is being held on a Tuesday, which is the same day Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to air an exclusive clip from Avengers: Age of Ultron. It’s possible that Marvel Studios just plans to give the press and fans an early viewing of this clip. However, considering how fast footage that is shown in public tends to show up on the Internet, this would seem like an unlikely reason for the event, since ABC probably wants fans to tune into Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to see the footage for the first time.

    NOTE TO THE OP:

    I love the feel of a raw coin held by the edges in my hand , I love the ring that a gold or silver coin makes when I drop it a few inches onto a wooden table, love everything about a vintage coin, the sheen, gloss and patina, I relish studying the subtle nuances and the chocolate brown coloring of the classical large cents, but I would never EVER consider breaking open a NGC holder to accomplish this feeling, not when there are already countless raw examples for that.

    Coins are lame. Free your comics!! :whee:

    So...I take it it's better than the 1990 version so far?

     

    All I remember is that John Wesley Shipp looked like The Flash in costume, and that Mark Hammil played The Trickster.

     

     

    Not better at all IMO

     

    That said, give it time as the villains may very well end up way cooler on the whole

    I dunno...have you watched the '90 series recently? It's pretty heavily dated. I of course own it on disc! :)

    Absolutely. I thought your temper tantrum was ridiculous, and your pre-emptive threatening statements in the thread were even worse. It was never an issue that I would step aside, so that Andrew wouldn't have to face the fury of whatever threads you were, most likely, already drafting. But I did buy that book while you were still trying to beat him down on price, and only the fact that there was specific reference to a "time stamp" kept me from making an issue of it. Where was your sense of community when you knew you had haggled your way out of an underpriced book?

    fwiw, A-Donis has been trying to keep his cool, apologize continuously, and not get into a heated back and forth, despite what looks like persistent aggressive posting towards him. Yes, I realize he has had a history of problems, and I don't have any means of judging his sincerity beyond what he says here. If I were involved in a transaction with him, though, I'd be willing to give him a shot based on his posts.

     

    If all he needs to do is sell, ship quickly, and communicate, then give him the chance to do that. Not sure what the continued (week-long now?) castigation is meant to accomplish. I think he's gotten the message by now. Either he'll prove his words sincere, or not.

    I brought it back up because I did not see a resolution and thought it was swept under the carpet during NYCC.

     

    I will disagree. You DO have means to judge his sincerity. His actions following his pledge to improve again and again and again. He has been given a multitude of chances to do that and yet.....

     

    So, he proved his last words insincere. We wait and see if this time he is sincere?

    Adonis, all you gotta do is sell stuff, get the money, ship quickly (like within a week even), and communicate when communicated with. It's not confusing, it's not personal, and it's 100% obvious common sense. It also feels good, it's fun, and it's rewarding in that you build a decent name for yourself in this community.

    Its no where near a VF, that is certain, but it is much better than a VG. I'm working on the assumption that moderns are graded by the same standard as SA at least, in which case its obviously better than a VG. 2c

    If I was grading it, I'd be at 5.5/6.0 but what do I know?
