You're saying the zoomed pencil photo is more clear than the other photos, or the other way, around?
The pencil pic appears to be clearer; the others may have just been shaky or too far, I don't know. Either way, thanks for what you posted!

It's really risky to do a reholder right now. Even if they slap the 9.8 back on it, there may no longer be a 9.8 inside. I'll try to find the relevant thread.

My bad, it says it right in the indicia!

Oh, these are all from the same collection and have the same storage problemssss, i follow! 👍

The wrap is fine in a 9.8, the corner break is going to depend on the press-out. For next time, is it possible for you to take the zoom out pics with the same clarity as the pencil closeup?

Centerfold was completely detached, the other one was detached by 1 staple.
That is quite an interpretation of "2 loose centerfold pages"...thanks for the update!

It looks like the whole thing has a foxing patina? And how are those inside covers?

Slight wear on top edge, minor spine stress with 6-7 small color breaking spine ticks, slightly blunted corners, slight spine roll, slight staining on rear cover.
IMO...
Check out the huge breaks on the back; left corners

Would appreciate your thoughts on the possible grade for this Thor #133 from the recent Ian Penman Collection sale. As to be expected, the book will be cleaned and pressed before submission.
I'm sure they went out of their way not to show the back
There's a lot of staining and breaking there

they possibly meant any stamp like that, and were maybe just noting it

That bottom-right crease was born to be pressed!

What's the stain on the top back spine?

I’m guessing the wet and dry cycle they mentioned is part of their pressing process
They'll humidify the books if they want, but that laundry room terminology is definitely their own. They probably just mean someone tore the book while it was damp.
Do clarify with them though! It's rare to have ANY insight into their ground-breaking (book-breaking?) proprietary techniques!

I just started collecting graded comics and I was wondering if I should Crack a PGX 10 and have it graded by CGC ? And do I have to Crack it myself or can I ship it to CGC and let them do It so I do not damage it? Thanks.
Can you post high quality pics of front and back please? Really want to see this PGX 10!!

Cracked open an ASM 252 cgc grade was 9.6.
Pressed and cleaned by CCS and it comes back a 9.2
I think time for a break until they get it together
Were there graders notes? Do you know why it was a 9.6?
Modern Grading Is Broken...Im done.

Light fingerprints has been a thing. You may want to PM your order information to @CGC Mike so that he can include it with the other fingerprint complaints to QC.
