so the 27 met reserve? Thanks to last night. I'm back in the club. And anyone can say how bad the pq is and the holes but it was owned by the man. That's why the post robins did so well. It was last call and bidding got fierce.don't think so.
but everything else sold pretty higher than expected. I mean those post tecs got very high prices. and in the last minutes (with extended time) the 40, 41 and 45 were the last ones available and bidding got intense.

Got these for free this week. This person was going to throw them out so I gladly accepted them. about 80 books. He told me he was a big time war comics guy when he was younger. Too bad there isn't a Hulk 181 here.
Maybe I shouldn't complain about free stuff.....

Thanks, I don't think Cap Midnight has a better cover than this one.
-
Got this at the con. Like the idea both Torch and Subby are on the cover

One of the few books I picked up at the con during my very brief time there. My favorite Cap Midnight cover

The first 2 episodes were alright. The show as a whole is ok. I am more excited for an episode of Boardwalk Empire to show.
Boardwalk? Nah. Its good but I don't count the days for a new season. Game of thrones on the other hand...... can't wait!

So lemme see, this group can kill like 50 zombies in a clip in hand to hand combat without getting a scratch (and why is it that they run around in tank tops and try to expose as much skin as possible? shouldn't they be wearing leather and what not?), yet our 2 million strong military, with body armor and what not, couldn't eventually figure out "shoot them in the head" and "burn the bodies of the dead ASAP"?
i understand the "surprise" factor, but let's be serious, 200 well trained troops with the ample ammunition stockpiled by the u.s. government, could probably wipe out all the zombies out there in 10 months.
I agree. That's why I hope they get this right with the military helicopter. The producers should have the military helicopter be one of many and have an actual operating base somewhere that hasn't been overrunned. The show would make more sense then.
Hopefully we see a flashback next week. How many times did the helicopter appear on the show so far? Twice I believe.
-
The first two episodes have been really good. So far it looks as if it will be better than the last season.
-
anyone has any spoiler about the helicopter? I know it crashes but from the trailer it looks like the military. I hope its not like the book (if I remember it was reporters?) and they have an actual military base somewhere. I mean come on. a group with an old guy a kid and a pregnant woman can survive a zombie apocalypse and not even (1) military unit? hopefully they dont stick to the book and we actually see a surviving army.
even better (for me at least) would be seeing the President and his secret service survive in a fully operational underground bunker in D.C., where hopefully the group ends up in their trail of survival - but Im getting ahead of myself.
was a great episode though.... to start. better than last seasons first.

Thanks. One of caps best covers IMO.
I also like the spy smasher standing at dc with an eagle behind him. I don't see a copy around anywhere though.

my book! so happy it went to a boardie.
Many thanks. Glad I won it. But why would you sell a classic cover?

I've been lazy about posting new purchases over the last couple of months but I will post this one:
I never buy restored for my "vault" but I made an exception on this one.
I purchased this as a placeholder, I sold my Tec 36 CGC 3.5 last year, but this one is so nice I may keep it as my "vault copy."
Over the past year I've been trying to find another Tec 36 after I sold my last one but I could never find that special copy. All the ones that came to market were either heavily restored, or a slightly off color print (where Batman's eyes are blue), or the PQ was terrible. This copy, albeit restored, finally fell perfectly into my needs. I dont like resto but this one is slight (near spine where tape pull was on front and back cover it appears) and does not affect the Batman image. So I made an exception and to be honest the price was such a steal I am pretty happy!
I'm sure you have Alex - but Arkham City really put Hugo Strange into the spotlight. Not for those who did not play the game, but the success of the "Arkham" series cannot be denied, now an entirely new generation actually knows who this classic GA villain is.
Your copy is sharp. (thumbs u
I wouldn't mind the resto one bit on a book this tough to track down.
Big time congrats!
Agreed, and thanks! Have the book in hand and am pleasantly delighted by it.
Glad my Tec 36 got a good home. Did you buy my other Tec, the raw 37?
It did! Awesome, boardie to boardie. And no I did not.
Hey, my old copy from 09!

just for fun

One of my favorite covers.
Absolutely (mine too)! Nice looking raw copy, btw.
Thanks, thinking of submitting it
