Good Morning Bill
-
Yep it is Alex's old copy. And those are petty much the reasons why I pulled the trigger on it. 2nd Robin, Clayface, a preRobin Tec feeling to the book and of course its still an issue in the 30s may I add.
-
Feels great to be posting in the Tec thread again!
-
double WOW! Man did archie ruin the superhero element of MLJ.
-
This is an Allentown, also:
cool cover, I always liked the early issues better. Doesnt have that archie character in it. Once archie takes over the covers, I lose total interest.
-
unless you two ers are stepping up to the plate, let the "real" pre robin tec collectors speaknow I wonder who might join the tec 27 clubI need a new career to join a club like this
-
I'd like to thank everyone that made it possible for me to aquire the Tec's that I needed to help my buddy finnish his 30 up run.In the last 5 months,i was able to buy a 30,31,33,35 and 37....
I know a lot of you were keeping an eye out for me for the last book,a 36.
G.A.t.o.r,Primetime,Bat-man,r1970d,Yannis and many others that i've exchanged PM's with, and your time spent at recent shows "keeping and eye out" for a 36 for me is/was greatly appreciated,THANK YOU.
I'm very happy to say,the search is over.I have purchased a 36.
Next up...a 29...an "affordable" 29
Finally your search is over for it. Congrats
-
Congratulations to both of you!I was able to upgrade my 3.5 to this 5.5 thanks to Imran. The great part is another board member has joined the TEC 28 club. I hope he decides to post here as wellMy new copy:
Actually it will be a 3 way deal which was great and really shows how great this board is. I will be getting Andre's undercopy and will post as soon as I get it :-)
I have now managed a run of 28-30, but think like many others I will just not be able to get that 27. Time will tell.
Thanks guys for making this deal work out and thanks also to Gator.
James G
Congrats!
James and Andre....... WOW both great copies. so here is 2 I have to change careers to afford more books any suggestions anyone on how I can make over 100k per year ?

shows you what you know
nice pick up...I would have expected it to go a little higher, but sometimes good deals can be hadWell, the market (and mt1000) have spoken!I actually told a few people that 5k was the max that this book would get. I would have been surprised if it would have hit 6k or anywhere close too it. It was won for a fair price.
not as much as you

I was just talking to someone the other day about I will never get a shot at a Pre-Robin Tec.
Yup. Definitely a spot-on call there.
Congrats on the pickup and I think you've got the right idea sending this book on to be restored. It'll be a blast to see once it's finished up!
Thanks guys ya im really exited ill hold onto it for a little while first before i send it (let it all sink in )
You know, if you plan to keep it and are not in a hurry then there is no need to do anything until you are sure of what you want to do.
Really wish I had bid. Congrats!
Thanks Roy and ya i think ill get it and go from there ill be happy regardless
Congrats on a cool pick up. He had it on ebay before and there were a few people who offered him about 5k (twice from what I know at least) and he had refused. I believe his asking then was about 6k.

here is a solo pic of my recent Action 20 , one of the greatest early Action covers!
very nice, that's one of my favorites as well.
Mine, too (thumbs u
For me its possibly the best cover from the early Actions! Its a better cover than 7,15,17,19,21,22 -and just as great as the 10, 13, and even 1!

I just got back from the NYCC. I didn't actually purchase any books while I was there but, Rick had a book for me. He helped me purchase it earlier this summer. When he gave it to me at his booth, I ripped the poly bag in two like a kid would Christmas morning.
awesome book Mike! wow what a grade

the one thing Id ike to see Kirkman and artist Suydam do is a DC Zombie Universe which would interact (eventually) with Marvel at some point. Something like an alternate Universe where say Krypton is infected first and then the Sup Zombie arrives to earth. And of all Kryptonians- Zod (the only uninfected) comes to earth for help, all in vain, hehe, just an idea...
lets see how the tv series for walking dead goes, it looks good
-
out of curiosity, I am wondering about this walking dead title. Will it continue to stay strong or should we expect it to fade out like all other non-blue chip in years to come? I have seen this happen too many times. Look at Spawn now for example. Back in the day, he was outselling Batman and Spiderman but now where is that title.
-
He does look great in the Batmobile. Many of his early splash pages were great.
-
This might be even tougher! And I believe its a Shuster cover if I am correct?
-
I forgot to post my recent comicconnect win and I thought I would resurrect the original Detective at the same time.
Pretty pleased with the purchase, after all it is a great book
wow. What took you so long to post ?
-
I actually like this cover more than 5
-
Love it when I'm at work and packages like these arrive. Thanks Bat-Man (Alex)!

-
Thanks guys,Rick was correct it was a private sale. I was told book was offered to only 3 or 4 people prior to me I was blown away how clean the cover was free of dirt, shadows and creasing. The whites are nice and bright since the Tec 31 is all about the cover this was the book for me
Its the book for every tec lover Bill , Congrats on a sweet looking 31
