On the subject of Tarzan Weekly... I recently purchased a collection of the entire run. Of these, only 5 give Dave credit for art (although, I am still missing the third issue, which contains the second half of the Monster Men story, which Dave inked, so that is a possible sixth issue.) Here are the covers for the accredited issues...

I think his actual first paid work was a Tarzan strip here in the states, but these weeklies would be his first professional work that appeared in book form. That's my take on it, anyway.

Tarzan Weekly 1977-07-30 there can be no doubt... and I present proof... I chose... wisely (based purely on the cover, it felt the most like Dave of the issues offered)
