I don't think there is one book that can encompass the entire range you are talking about... You could conceivably come up with one book for the Golden Age (1938-1945)... pick your favourite war cover Atom Age (1947-1955)... pick your favourite horror/crime/western/romance cover These two ages are quite disparate in content, in direction, and in style. I don't think there is any one book that represents both well...

Batman #1... it's the first appearance of Catwoman, ya'll! ... and it's unrestored....

I'm a Golden Age guy... I'll almost always take Gold over Silver. And in this case, it's definite. Captain America #1 all the way.

Detective #27... I collect Batman... got no love for the big blue doof... and investment wise... I deem them equal, seeing as how Supes was first, but Batman is bigger (commercially), and cooler, and has more appeal...

Just got this in... low grade, mis-cut, and centerfold loose, but I've never seen this book with such rich cover colours... and who needs high grade anyway?

This may possibly be the comic with the worst cut I own... BUT, OH! Those colours...

I've had a couple of sales threads... sold a couple of things, even... but haven't had any chatter... very disappointing... it just isn't a sales thread without the chatter and graemlin posting, IMNSHO...

Now, THAT would be the way to go!

Man, are you KIDDING me? Someone would spend that kind of cash on a Silver Age book, when they can get a higher grade Golden Age key??? No way, man... I refuse to believe it.
