  13. Nice covers! I am always looking for holiday covers with Archie etc. Any extras?
  14. Man I know thats from a post a long long time ago - nice to see Captain Britain's! I'm English so wahey! The originals are still around for 10 -20 quid - some with mask still inside etc as are the Knights of Pendragon follow-ups (with Union Jack). I preferred the original ones anyway, even if the "Bad Guys" were total Gash! Nice pics. (thumbs u Thanks was my favorite books from my original collection. I have a complete run and the super spiderman run. I am not much a fan of the new CB.
  15. I have been thinking of binding my books that I want to keep. I have double copies of most sets and was thinking of doing them so that they are more accessible and promote reading. As far as getting a "factory made" HC or Essentials etc. they just do not have the aesthetic feel or nostalgic value to me as the original books. I do not like the paper, printing, lack of color (Essentials) or lack of ads that add to the value of the books IMHO. I also don't like that covers are removed or ads from bound books and I would bind the books as a whole unit without removing anything. I have been in discussions with one bindery here in MA to do this. The problem is he does not do the volume to have all the graphics, stamps and imprints so I am limited on choices. Any ideas on where I could get some to have him use on my books? What grade would you or Kenner recommend as the best for binding??
  16. Thanks, ComicDoc. I might be tempted to part with those Captain Britain volumes. Make me an offer, Sir It seems that binding comics doesnt make their value go down at all (actually seems to go up). PM me with an idea of what you would part with them for also let me know what shipping would be.
  17. Your books look great! Love the Captain Britain volumes! Let me know if you ever want to part with them By the way how do evaluate the value of bound books? Does the value go down dramaticly?
  18. which drawer is the "regular sized" one? I cant see a difference between the three. Top drawer is regular size. If I buy again I would get all CGC size that way all the books with and without encapsulation would fit.
  19. The one I purchased are the "City" Cube, which are wider but narrower so that it fit behind my door. Their website goes over the dimensions and I found Adam very easy to work with. Even switch to water based poly, I sent him a sheet from a conservation site that recommended it for added protection of the comics from the off gassing. Of course oak is one of the worse offenders but it is what I wanted, so hopefully I mitigated some of the detrimental effects with the water based poly.
