  1. Fortresses. Chris Pedrin manufactured and sold them back in the 90s. They are no longer in production, but can sometimes be found for sale on eBay BCW makes something similar (linky) AWESOME room BTW (thumbs u The header to that site you just linked to made me laugh... At 40 bucks a pop for the holders you are probably better off just getting it slabbed! Even at wholesale prices they are 25.32 each unless you buy > 20 then they are 16.88 plus shipping.
  2. WTTB and NICE BOOKS!! (thumbs u Don't see these issues very often!
  3. Now that is a great book and I grew up watching the TV series!!
  4. The FF was done by Matt Nelson and has his certificate of work! This recreation is awesome it has the look and feel of the era. The AF#1 and ASM#1 have very nice "Xerox" covers on heavy glossy paper although they are very nice I am going to send them in those two to get covers done by Matt Nelson so they have more of the original appearance. (I know I am a little obsessive compulsive) I agree these are great to have especially if you read comics. I read AF#15, ASM#1, FF#1, JIM#83 and JLA#1 over the last week! It was great!! I have never been to Outer Limits I mostly go to Larry's Comics in Lowell and Chris' in Salem NH. Will have to try and get down there to check it out. Also would like to get out to Superworld Comics in Holden MA and Hub Comics in Somerville MA.
  5. And here are the raw books! ASM #1 and 1st AF#15 with copies of cover and original books inside! FF#1 Cover recreation with original book inside. 2nd AF#15 low grade original and finally JLA #1 All original!
  6. Where did you get them ? What are the dimensions? Are the cabinets built in to the wall?
  7. Here is my esoteric book of the week: Always loved this cover!
  8. I could have ordered them black he gives you that option. I thought that having all goldenoak stained oak woodwork in my house that the pine with oak stain would go with the trim better. I agree once I had them up that a darker frame would have made the books look better. I have been considering ordering frames from frameitagainsam. Any problems or complaints about the frames? None, I like how the top of the frame comes off to allow u to put the book inside from the top. There is no disassembling just lift off the top put the book in. For the CGC frames he sends color sheet for back ground color (look at the avengers with purple background). He also sells microchamber sheets pretty cheap compared with others and will cut to the size you request. I am not sure if he is a board member but he states that he is a comic collector. I would recommend going to his website and shooting him an email.
