Ewan, you, I, and Andy were all frequenting the same pubs at the same time.
The pub was the Dickens, its still there. The Empire became the House.
Madisons was essential attendance for all student - you would see more people there than lectures

Pics or it didn't happen

That's brilliant Andy. Haven't seen it since it was on - around 1994 I reckon. Can't stand comic relief but we watched this by chance - we were on our way out and switched it on. Hilarious stuff.
Bob was a semi regular in our local (Star and Garter Andrew) around this time, especially after the Boro matches.

Remember getting the Titans annual for Christmas when I was five.
-
No, it's coming soon. Gaz will kindly be listing the stuff we donated on our behalf when he has all the donations in place.
(thumbs u yeah I gathered, worried that I had missed it overnight and it had slipped to page two.

Captain Britain holds a special place in my heart as it was the first series I collected every issue of as they came out.
I would strongly recommend the two book hardcover set; Birth of a Legend and Seige of Camelot, they reprint the whole original series, the Super Spidey and Hulk Comic stories, Marvel Team Up etc as well as original cover galleries, concept art and even designs for the mask, boomerang and jet free gifts. I have a copy of Birth of a Legend signed by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe
Oh, and coincidentally both these books are included in the Ltd Edition Comix donation to the
Jamie benefit sale so you can buy those and give To a good cause at the same time.
Has the thread started? Didn't see anything in the PM to say it had?

Nice touch Andrew.

Good work for a tenner - where did you pick em up?

If only the missus didn't want any clothes I could do the same

Boro losing again. If we lose this it will be 8 points from 48.
Has any other team had such a big fall in a season? We were third at the turn of the year.
-
Wow, That's quite a collection.
Is it worth $14000 ?
-
Snow fell here on Saturday morning and promptly dissapeared a few hours later.
The way I like it.
Was Snow her first or last name?
This isn't a Police Squad sketch.
Surely it is.
-
Ridiculous that much snow at this time of year. And we nothing. Not a sniff. No snow has fallen here for days.
-
Sounds nasty Paul. Would love to be over there now in all the snow.
We've got nothing here.

I have done a fair few of the eastern fells, Hellvellyn via striding edge is a good one, but I would only tackle it in good weather, lots of easier ones too.
Done that one twice now, Including last year and it was very windy and misty so couldn't see a thing.
High Street is good and others along there too. If you park at the end of the village Hartsop there are plenty of directions you can head in. (thumbs u

Cool pics. Is that Blancathra? Love that mountain. Where did you stay?
Were you in tents, because that wouldve been a cold night!
Yeah! Blencathra, we stopped at the White horse inn on the A66, it has converted some stables into bunk houses, they have heaters in, so it was OK.
(thumbs u never stayed there but enjoyed a pint or two there.
Looking for somewhere to climb this summer in the eastern Lakes. Will be at Appleby for Easter too.

This type of book can get dated and irrelevant quite quickly, as well.
I meant the Marvel Fact Files / Who's Who magazines, not the GN collections Paul has.
Yeah totally agree Paul.
The graphic novels reprint classic stories but the fact files will be out of date next week when Peter Parker becomes spidey again and we get a ret-con on the Surfer.
-
So do you have them all Paul ?
Is it still going? That's over a year now - imagine what comic you could've got for that £500
-
Whom of your Brits are going to buy the Marvel Facts Files? (Just seen the add on my Sky sat). First issue £0,99
http://www.marvel-factfiles.com/
Not available outside the UK and US....
They got you hooked at 99p then jack up the price to £10. Which is a shame because surely they would sell many more at half the price.

Storm did have some terrible lines.
I'm a bit worried too much of the first team are going to be in this and it ends up more like the original trilogy (which generally was ok) and lees like First Class which was a very good film.

Have you turned into druids or crusties?
When did X-Men jump the shark?
in Copper Age Comic Books

Totally agree. I think it was just as much to do with the new generation coming through like Lee and Liefield as well. The mutant saga was becoming convoluted enough till they started bringing Cable, Bishop etc in. I completely lost interest then.
