  1. Thats a SUPER SWEET book fish !! And I can tell right now that my digital camera pics are just not gonna cut it around here. I'm gonna have to get a scanner......cuz these scanned pics are really nice. Bright clear and well focused. But until then you get..." book-under-the-lamp-and-hand-held-digital-camera-trying-to-get-a-shot-with-no-glare" pictures !!

Picked this one up not too long ago. I love that BIG Detective Logo.....

  2. Something I notice about all you guys with comic rooms......is how neat and orderly they are. Everything is in its perfect place. Must be a by product of being a collector. My parents never really appreciated my comics but they appreciated that my room seemed to be in order........most of the time

Are comic book collectors "Neat Freaks"?

  3. She's cool with my room. My wife even lets me hang framed prints in our living room.

Prints of what I wonder? I'll bet its not outrageously dressed female heroes with triple D headlights doing some bad guy bopping !!

Nice arrgh......do those black file cabinets contain comics?... or is that a stupid question?

  4. Hey grinder.....I grew up in Redondo Beach. Even graduated from Redondo High....back in.....uh....back in....well, it was quite awhile ago

It was a much quieter beach town then.......kinda slow and sleepy. My folks still live in Hollywood Riviera and whenever I visit I love to just drive around and see all the changes. Maybe take a walk along the esplanade........

    *sigh* ......memories.... hm

  5. Here are all of my c-link wins from the last two days:

What a great cover this one is. I was thinking, since the BT is under water....how his punch moved fast enough to knock that guys helmet off? He must be a SUPER HERO.......

And those Electric guns......thats cool. Not very feasable ......but cool.

  6. I myself don't care for signatures on the front cover. It detracts from the artwork that I want to look at. Still, theres not gonna be too many of those around (signed ones) especially if you were there when he signed it.....cuz now its personal. Its a memory. I guess you could get another unsigned one and have a matching set. Its a beautiful book though.

How about some more Plastic Man. I picked this up a couple months ago. Its smooth and flat and tight....but has one small tear near bottom left (bout 1/2 inch) just under Woozy's foot. I think its probably still at least a 7.5 or an 8.0

  7. Well, here she is. MM #58. Its a really nice book.....solid, tight, and bright. I grade it at a Fine to Fine +.....but I know I might be a bit out of touch with the current parameters of grading these days........when I started collecting, every thing was Good - Fine or Mint......not all these numbers. I'll have to get used to using them properly. I did see a thread about having other people grade your books....or at least give you their opinion. Maybe I'll take some new pics and post it up there.....to see if I'm close to everyone else.
