  1. That music seems so completely out of touch with the times. I mean, Viet Nam was going on. British invasion in full power. The rock and roll industry. Movies. R rating becoming a thing. Drug culture. A lot of MJ being smoked. And the Jesus people revival too. But not........ whatever that was. It seems to be about 10 - 15 years behind. Wonder if Stan had anything to do with it?
  2. The most amazing thing about Edgar Bergen, (besides fathering Candice), is that he became famous on radio with his ventriloquist act. I wonder if any magicians became famous on radio??? IDK but I really get a kick out of the old radio shows of Charlie McCarthy, especially the ones with W.C. Fields as a guest. They went at each other constantly and the wit was top drawer
  3. Thx Cheech....er Dave. I will always reach out to the human element first. Google will be the end of civilization. You just watch. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After listening to it, I felt kind of dumbed down or something. It was a Rogers and Hammerstein musical, but NOT nearly as good. Give me The Sound of Music any day!!

  5. Shouldn't it be "top shelf" Dave? Like in EXPENSIVE BOOZE
  6. this one of Reverend Lovejoy is on the south wall of a car mechanic shop only 100 feet from the adult porno store. Haha, it struck me as funny. Don't know why his rabbit is dripping. Looks like a chocolate easter bunny
  7. This is the only "non color" painting i have come across. Since it is dated, it seems to me he could have finished it by now, if he was going to.
  8. I was driving through this part of town yesterday and saw some artwork I had not noticed before. So here they are, for you Simpsons completists
  9. Hot Wheels did have a racing system called Fat Track that was pretty cool. No slots at all. You would juice up the cars and let them go around the track racing each other in a really FREE STYLE way. It was Ingenius but kind of a hassle to keep buying batteries.
  10. Good thing Flash has that step van in case he has to get somewhere in a hurry
  11. I remember Johnny Lightning commercials during Saturday morning cartoons. I had a few and always thought. these things are pretty dang fast.
  12. Interesting thread. I still have a big box of hot wheels track. You know, the orange stuff. I was saving it for when grandkids came along, but I'm starting to think that may not happen I sold all/most of the cars around 10 years ago on the bay. There were about 40 of them. They were all beat up and played with and I was surprised at the bidding activity. Turns out one of them was sought after by a few people. It was a VW bus with surfboards. Who knew?
  13. Kinda classy that he always wore a tie while working. At least to my memory.
  14. You are correct. My bad. I guess this is a "fast lane" grading contest
