  1. This thread hasn't been bumped in a while. 2nd appearance of Conan in "The Scarlet Citadel."
  2. Nice! I still haven't read Terry and the Pirates yet. I really need to get some of the reprints.
  3. Awesome! I really need to add that book to my wantlist.
  4. I sold my vg copy of this book to another boardie a couple of years ago and I've been wanting to replace it ever since.
  5. Well, this isn't quite as rare as Dwight's unique Shadow memorabilia, but it's pretty darn scarce nonetheless. This is the first issue of Jack Dempsey's Fight Magazine, a boxing pulp that only lasted three issues before it folded. It is noteworthy for having a Robert E. Howard story in all three issues. They are "Sailor" Steve Costigan yarns - humorous boxing stories and are a great read.
  6. Congrats! That's the only one I've seen besides that coverless one.
  7. Nice one buddy Thanks. I got it for my wife. That was a good trade you got. Awesome book!
  8. Thanks Joe, it's a fun run. I've still got to pick up a 1 and 2 and do a few upgrades.
  9. Nice Jeff!! Under Copy?? I think it's a beater, but I'll look and see. Did you get the Funnies 36 that SoCal had?
  10. That's right, it's the 2nd appearance of Conan in "The Scarlet Citadel." Man, it would have been great if St. John had done a Conan cover. Here's a trivia question - what was the only Robert E. Howard cover to be illustrated by John Allen St. John?
  11. An underrated Conan story imo. Has a lot of fun elements - cannibals, intrigue, betrayal, evil wizard, naked dancing girl, giant wrestler who gives Conan a run for his money in a fight - good pulpy fun.
