  1. That is awesome Ryan! I've been waiting to see this group shot - congratulations on completing the run. (and thank you for hooking me up with a number of your undercopies during your quest )
  2. Nice Mark! I've got to work on the Frazetta Buck Rogers one of these days.
  3. I've had them all for a while but I've been upgrading when I've had chance. I'm trying to get 2-6 in 7.5 or higher, so I now I just need to upgrade the #5 and I'll be good.
  4. I enjoy the first few years of the dailies. I haven't read much of the Sundays, even though I like Yager's art better - never got into the whole "Buddy" thing.
  5. Thanks Rich. It's definately my favorite cover of the run and the one that I most wanted to have a really nice copy of. Maybe it's an acquired taste, but I love Calkins quirky style and awkward anatomy - it's so pre-Golden Age.
  6. Damit Jeff There goes my number 1 spot in the registry. Seriously, that #2 looks a bit undergraded. Presents like an 8.0-8.5 judging the book by its cover. Congrats!!! Now i'm off to find the mile high number 1 and secure the top spot here once and for all. It's a very precarious position - I'm only ahead by a few points So that wasn't you that just picked up the Cecil Macon copy off ebay?
  7. Can't believe this beautiful book didn't come back a little higher.
  8. Had this one for a while and finally got it slabbed.
  9. Got the catalogs today. Lots of great stuff in there. There a lot of lg early ERB pulps in the regular sales catalog that I think may take shot at and a few fanzines in the auction that I have my eye on.
  10. I found a few pages with a google search.
  11. You know at one time I had 4 of those. 3 came from that one huge WT collection I bought then sold to eccomics. I can personally attest that the fourth one has a good home.
  12. Wow, no kidding! I was going to ask you if that was you, just jokingly. And it really was you - very cool! You certainly got some gorgeous pulps out of the deal. Here is the Richardson copy of A Gent From Bear Creek for those who haven't seen one (the dj is a repro): Also, if you've never read Howard's humourous western stories with Breckinridge Elkins, I highly recommend them. Very funny and very different from his other work. They're told in a tall tale style, but with over-the-top slapstick violence. It's like Pecos Bill meets Kill Bill.
