or as a comic book. The comic would be great!
On film....let it die!

You say potato...
I actually like seeing the pieces talked about in the podcast, as i have some insight during the convo that I wouldn't have if I was in the dark about the work they are speaking of. Works both ways.
Though truth be told, mostly it's a matter of what am I doing, and what do I have time to squeeze in at that moment?
-
Indeed. Also nice to hear a bit of your backstory, Felix.
-
Loved the video, Felix. So many great pieces. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Yeah, I get that of course, but still really odd to me. I've been around a number of "celebrities" over the years. Artists, writers, film industry types and just plain uber wealthy folks that never had or felt a need for a security guard, much less two.
I get it with the A lister elite and the paparazzi psychosis that surrounds them. But Frank Miller? Comes as a bit of a shock to me, so what do I know. Good on 'em!
-
The closest he has to an assistant are his two security guards.
A comic artist with security guards?
What's that about?
-
I quite like that Punisher cover as well. Never heard of the artist, and I don't follow the book, but it's well done and a great composition. Very cool.
-
Kill it with fire.
-
Might help cover the cold sores?
To me Carrie looks more and more like Matt Murdock as time goes on...
Goofing aside, I do quite like the drawing from the Batsymbol down.
-
Is it me, or has Frank been studying with Gahan Wilson?
-
That's fantastic!
-
Absolutely. And for posterity, here was the Batman piece.
Not surprised Tim T. was the one that bought it.

Hey check that out. I haven't seen that one in a long time. As I recall, I think that one might very well have been one of if not the first piece Noto posted for sale on eBay a few years before he started as a comic pro.
It was because of this one (pretty sure it was this guy), and the Dark Knight piece Phil did, that I placed a painted Deadman commission order with him. He was still working for Disney down in FL at the time I believe. For a long time, it was the Supes, the Deadman, and the Bats piece on his site as his painted work samples.
What a blast from the past!
Steve K. bought the Deadman from me a few years back. He still has it up on CAF, for those interested...

Cool to see these pieces again. Haven't thought about them in years.
Congrats!

Whenever I hear his name I immediately think
It's like a Pavlovic response in me.
That piece of Strange is quite nice.
Oh, and I really like that Cadwell drawing!

which should be obvious given the stellar Iron Man 3
...and that's where they lost me.

One of my favorite things in this hobby is when I see friends buy a piece and then they reveal the price, and it's a forehead slapper. "Damn, I wouldda bought it for that too" kind of stuff. I love seeing pieces turn up that I thought were out of my league that as it turns out, aren't. Or never inquired about because I thought it was beyond my resources. This mostly only applies to current art, and not vintage stuff....

Exactly. I'm contributing to the original topic by being butt hurt at the the numerous threads... FWIW.
-
Discussion of the MB shilling topic isn't my point. Of course it should be discussed, debated, and ultimately pushes made for answers. I'm simply dismayed that people feel the need to start another topic header to do so. It's dumb, frankly speaking.
-
Behind that curtain I hear "put the lotion in the basket".
Bahaaaaah...
-
Some folks have turned the threads into romper room. The ignore feature has been a godsend the last week or so...
-
Another thread on this?
-
Enjoyed that conversation very much.
Thanks Felix!
