  1. Yeah, I get that of course, but still really odd to me. I've been around a number of "celebrities" over the years. Artists, writers, film industry types and just plain uber wealthy folks that never had or felt a need for a security guard, much less two.

I get it with the A lister elite and the paparazzi psychosis that surrounds them. But Frank Miller? Comes as a bit of a shock to me, so what do I know. Good on 'em!

  2. Hey check that out. I haven't seen that one in a long time. As I recall, I think that one might very well have been one of if not the first piece Noto posted for sale on eBay a few years before he started as a comic pro.

It was because of this one (pretty sure it was this guy), and the Dark Knight piece Phil did, that I placed a painted Deadman commission order with him. He was still working for Disney down in FL at the time I believe. For a long time, it was the Supes, the Deadman, and the Bats piece on his site as his painted work samples.

What a blast from the past!

Steve K. bought the Deadman from me a few years back. He still has it up on CAF, for those interested...

Cool to see these pieces again. Haven't thought about them in years.

    Congrats!

  3. One of my favorite things in this hobby is when I see friends buy a piece and then they reveal the price, and it's a forehead slapper. "Damn, I wouldda bought it for that too" kind of stuff. I love seeing pieces turn up that I thought were out of my league that as it turns out, aren't. Or never inquired about because I thought it was beyond my resources. This mostly only applies to current art, and not vintage stuff....

  4. Discussion of the MB shilling topic isn't my point. Of course it should be discussed, debated, and ultimately pushes made for answers. I'm simply dismayed that people feel the need to start another topic header to do so. It's dumb, frankly speaking.
