  1. Absolutely. You have his location, go and get your books. If not, surely a PI or similar could collect on your behalf? And if Hero’s says “no” to this hypothetical posse knocking on his door, what then? It's a foolproof plan. Just ask O.J.
  2. Didn't Hero Restoration refer to it as Leaf Casting in his own post? "Leaf casting cover and first wrap."
  3. It actually looks like, out of a batch of 25 books, he's had 26 MEs..........so far. 10 the first time. 8 the second time. 5 the third time (4 with severe scuffing plus 1 with a crack) 3 the fourth time.
  4. I would normally agree with this. But saying the video shows there was no magazine in the package.....and then refusing to share that video with the submitter......is absolute horsesh*t.
  5. Yeah.....that's why I didn't bump it up for you. Not sure why it was archived......perhaps @CGC Mike could shed some light on that.
  6. As you know, the search function sucks fried monkey butt.....so I didn't even bother using it. I just clicked on your profile.....then clicked on "See their activity".......then clicked on "Topics" which shows all the threads you've created. I found the thread you were looking for on page two of the results.
  7. Then he'll have to find a fake Stunt Case to store it in. YOU'RE JUST ADDING TO THE PROBLEM ! ! !
  8. Thieves hate small lockboxes that can be easily carried.
  9. Absolutely. Looks like it took a pretty hard whack. Seller claimed the slab is damaged but that "the comic itself is unharmed".....and then some door knob paid almost $2k for it.
  10. The staple area looks like it might be ok. But that book definitely suffered damage to the bottom right edge on the back cover.
  11. One of them should do a Banksy type painting using the silhouette of a Simpsons character.........and then sign it "Bartsy".
  12. In my opinion.....something like this could be considered a Hall of Shame level event. I would like to hear from @Deadlift Collectibles about it (I realize he's supposed to be having surgery at some point, so may not be available to comment right now). To claify again, I'm going to detail out the time line I gathered from your post in this and the other thread...and you can correct me if any of it is wrong. Over a year ago, Bronze AgeD BRAD sent the three books in question (ASM #300 CGC 9.8....Batman Adventures #12 CGC 9.8.....Marvel Team-Up #141 CGC 9.8) to Deadlift Collectibles to get reholdered for him. When Brad had previously asked Deadlift where the books were, he was told they were at CGC and hadn't been shipped back yet. You (Gsims718) then purchased these three books from Deadlift Collectibles. A month later...Brad contacts you and provides proof that those three books you purchased from Deadlift Collectibles actually belong to him. You are currently waiting for refunds for these three books to clear before returning them. This all leads me to one observation and one question. If someone had three of my high value books for over a year just to get reholdered.....I would be up their arse every other day looking for updates. Once your refund clears....who are you going to return the books to? Hopefully it's to Brad.
  13. I once bought a video tape called 8-Minute Abs. I performed the full 8 minute workout and didn't see any difference. NEVER AGAIN ! ! !
  14. Hoping Gene has a speedy recovery.
  15. I store my books on their side with the spines down. I figure that eliminates any chance of the slab "holding" onto the cover while the interior pages slide down over time and rip the staples free from the cover.
  16. It wasn't cheap......but I won the Rosetta Stone in the last Clink auction and finally got it in. The front looks fantastic DAMMIT ! ! !
  17. I'm picturing a desk with one of those green bankers lamps on it. Sitting at it, while dressed in a suit and tie.....an 8 year old Ronald formally stamps the first page on each of his comic books.
  18. True.....but I'm not going to do that for every book I might have an interest in. They can either provide them initially, or I can look elsewhere.
  19. That's great if it's just a couple of big books I might be interested in. But way too much work if I'm just skimming auctions and looking at numerous books I might be interested in. If they can't be arsed to provide back cover scans for auctions that bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars......then I can't be arsed to bid on their auctions. Just my personal preference.
  20. Which is why I don't bid on their auctions. Can't stand getting a book and finding the back cover looks like fermented a-hole........or that the staples are an inch to the right of the actual spine on it.
  21. If that seriously is a true story......I would have instantly told them to **** off. Seriously.....the ego being displayed because they think they can't be knocked off of their high horse.
