  1. Yep, Gator started reaching for his wallet when he saw the book. :) Unless things go very wrong in my life, this will stay in the collection for a long time to come. He did make me promise him he would have first crack at it though...........

I thought I got first crack (shrug)

Gator didn't want it when I was selling it, so don't reward him for his foolishness

I meant to say Gator had first crack at it AFTER you had the chance to get it first. (thumbs u :baiting:

  2. Wow, that is a pretty Batman 1 (thumbs u

Looks like Bill's old copy. :applause:

Your correct, it is! I found that out from Bill himself after I had made the trade. Small world of collecting we live in!

Paper on this book is extremely nice off-white.

It is a lovely book, and I miss it dearly. Glad you got it though David. I know how much you are enjoying having it! :applause:

Thanks Bill, I know you could tell the pure joy I was having when I got the deal done. I'm surprised I didn't wet myself! lol!

I had the great pleasure of meeting Bill at Heroes Con. He is an absolute great guy and highly recommend you say hello to him if you have the chance! (thumbs u

  3. And after many many years of collecting I thought I would never be able to own a copy of this book. But I was able to do a nice trade for it at Heroes Con!

There's tiny piece out on the back cover and it looks like a little moisture on the lower right front cover but it's still a striking cover that I just had to have.

    I really adore that cover!

I just read it. She really does ride a giant butterfly! She's visiting a horticulturist who's about to go out of business when she recalls a newspaper story she read about a plane flying over the Amazon and seeing giant flowers. She SHAZAMs and as Mary Marvel takes the guy down there so they can get seeds so he can grow giant flowers and get his business back. They come to a town on the flowers where people live and they ride butterflies as steeds. But they won't give them the seeds because it's their only food supply. So while they wait around for some reason Mary saves a kid and foils a crime to prove to the king that she and the guy are worthy of a seed reward. They eventually get their seeds and go home but the flowers only grow to ten feet tall. But that's enough that people want to buy them. The End.

    Just plain awesome.

I had the Crowley copy and like a dummy let it go. Super nice book with popping colors!
