Just finished the first draft of my next book... RED BAND! A tale of beer, boobs, zombies, genetically altered chili peppers, vomit and monster trucks! I think this is the worst thing I ever wrote. I purposely wrote a cliche'd bad b movie type story that insults everyone. And I'm hoping this becomes a cult hit too...

How much they ask I don't know. Best thing to do is try to contact the artist directly (that's what I did with eric powell, rob guillory is another one that is really nice to deal with) and ask how much. If you just want one and not worried about ss, that is the best way to do it and they just ship directly to you.

Depends, some will do quick sketches for free (eric powell does free quick sketches) and some charge a nominal fee for it. My next target is ben templesmith, I have a 30 days 1 signed by niles that I'm hoping ben will sketch on real quick. It's not ss, but will go into a display of oa of 30 days. Now if you want blank sketch covers done, those will cost you anywhere from$20 and up depending on the artist.

If I remember correctly, that one went for $650+ due to the sketch and sig.

That #1 9.8 with the sketch was really nice, just way out of my price range at the time. Looking back now, I should have figured out a way to get it. Oh well.

i had 3 sketches on ss books, 2 9.6's and 1 9.8. i just sold one to another boardie. so i'm back to 2. one is the#4 quick sketch and the other is a 9.8 10 that is a really nice rick head sketch. jj, was the #10 from the same session?

Jon, It's unfortunate that this happened and i do feel that there were issues with how everybody (not just the 3 of you involved) reacted to this in bad taste. i for one consider you a friend as well as jerel and TJ, and just like other common friends we have, i was gutted to see a bunch of my friends fight over and get slammed over some comments and a single book. you are a cool guy, and i think the same of the other 2. i've had nothing but positive interactions with all 3 of you and i'd hate to see any of this become such a contentious "us vs them" that was starting to brew in the sales threads. I'm glad that you, for moral or for your other friends financial reasons decided to kill this thing publicly. are you ever going to be on speaking terms with them? maybe, but that is something that you and the others involved can work this through without the other outsiders from putting in their 1 1/12 cents. from that other j
