  1. Sony has lost a lot of market share across all lines of their products. So whatever they can shave off of anything to lower costs.

As for bc, great at the beginning for all, but the majority of gamers lose interest after the first year of the consoles release.

For the next gen Sony, I use my ps3 as a blu player only. All games are played on my 9th (and hopefully final) 360. So the ps4 or whatever it will be named isn't a priority for me as the 720 will be.

  2. So if someone was on the list and it was two years ago, while on the list they made good and was on the list for 35 days and then removed, you wouldnt deal with then years later after having numerous sales with no issue?

Sounds a bit...extreme to me. But I suppose one black mark or sin of the past is never forgiven right?

So if ANYONE has a problem with a seller who was on the list TWO years ago and there have been no issues since...

Keep walking past my sales threads because I am that person referenced above.

DeafMuteComics on 1/8/11, cleared 2/10/11 and removed 3/23/11.

  3. Just have a quick question on sales:

How long do I have to wait after an invoice is sent with no money sent before moving on to other venues? It's not a big transaction, and I really would only suggest the boardie for the probie list in order to warn other sellers. He could have funds or other issues-I don't know. Just haven't heard from him since invoice.

The comics are not that valuable, but I'm sure someone would pay something for them on ebay. So how long do I have to hold them?

    Thanks,

    Buddy

Wouldn't happen to be babygorilla would it? hm

    Indeed it would sir!

I too am waiting for payment for some sales to him from about three weeks ago. We have to give them 30 days, then a seperate PM, then wait a couple days for them to respond, then we can pursue PL proceedings.

With any luck, hes just been off the boards and got busy and will come back and pay us both :)

He bought from me in December and paid in about a week. So he wa paying for books leading up to Xmas.

He claimed two books from me and hasn't read the invoice PM (from the 1st of the year). Nothing high dollar - hope all is well with him.

I still have his email addy. If any seller waiting for payment would like to try contacting him through that, just pm me.

  5. And I disagree with some of you guys. The Governor has definitely upped his A-hole quotient as of late. Lots of things have been patterned on his character straight from the book.

Also, all the people asking for a more rapey Gov? You're unsettling me. I know you mean it within the context of the comic, but just take a step back and hear what you're saying....

Because in the comic he was pure evil without reservation. Not so much in the show.

Merle is more the Governor in the show. If Governor was what Merle is, I'd be singing his praise.

I'm not getting my jollies off on a rape scene by any means. At this point Governor is going to have to do something this evil and heartless to completely get him away from the pansy-assed character he is on the TV show.

    More Gov, less love. :sumo:

The writers are developing him more as a cult leader than an outward evil character.

I don't think anyone wants to see it because it is a rape scene (or maybe some do, who knows), but it was a pivotal moment for michonne as a character in the book. Considering the writers seem as if they really don't know how to write for the character and this would, in fact open up insight to her character. What they could do would be a flashback sequence throughout an episode explaining tv michonne, switching between preset and past for a full episode would work.

Or it's because some want something translated into the show from the book since it is moving away from the source material.

  7. Can anyone put in a spoiler a synopsis of issue 2? I won't be able to get a copy until january.

Just a basic synopsis if anyone would be so kind.

Please do not read if you haven't read the book.It gives a clear run down of the narrative as I remember it. ;)

Two old friends (new Characters) meet up by chance and one drugs kidnaps and kills him.Filmore Press visits the doctor from the first issue after being shot, There are some freaky nurses. Filmore and Doctor discuss the fact he wants to help the police and it appears that the doctor is helping him over come his urges. Doctor agrees to letting him help the police but makes him promise to not tell them about him. The body of the guy killed at the beginning is found being dragged by a horse. Filmore stumbles across the crime scene and turns himself into the police as the killer.

    Thanks Gary, sounds good!

  8. Andrea as Martinez?

It's Merle. Gov wanted Darryl to be turned to help his brother and be the inside man at the prison. That was before the attack on Woodbury.

Now that they have Darryl, the Gov. can set it up so that it looks like Merle saves Darryl and they escape together back to the prison.

Then Darryl vouches for Merle, gets him inside the prison, recons the place and goes back to the Gov.

Or that's at least a possible plot line.

Very possible. I was basing it on the preview for next season. It showed Andrea going back to the prison and it shows Daryl walking away in a cloud of smoke... We haven't seen Rick and co. go back yet...He may have some grenades left that he throws into that group to get Daryl back to the prison with them.

I am hoping they redeem Andrea's character. Right now, at this moment, she bears no resemblance to Andrea from the books other than her name.

She is quickly becoming another "Kill her now, Lori needs company".

  9. anyone see the commercial? did they just make a romantic zombie comedy?

why, why hollywood do you infest every aspect of my life with romantic comedies? ive just lost a part of me.

I am sorry but I have to disagree with ya and say this looks good. I mean a zombie movie with John Malkovich? How can this be a bad thing. :)

    Based on a ya book.

  10. Craigslist ads, t4m, casual encounters w/stock photos found on google.

    Justice is served.

I'm not sure what type of law mr. Nico practices, but you think he might find some legal issue with this? All I'm saying is that I'm just saying.

My first guess would be either employment or health law just by the way he sated the employer sponsored plan and erisa and other terms only someone in the insurance industry (ie: me) or someone who practices law within the industry.

  11. Weird review from IGN.

Juging from the length of the article and the reviewer's whining about 'too much text' in a book I read in under 10 minutes, I'm just going to have to write him off as illiterate.

I will say that issue 2 didn't have the impact of the first issue, but saying nothing happened is just moronic. It introduced a new (major?) bad guy, developed the dynamic between Filmore and the Dr. and showed Filmore 'introduce' himself to the cops.

I will say I wasn't a huge fan of the circus sideshow freak motif in the Dr. scene. A little too tripped out for me, but not a huge deal.

    So...let me get this straight...

Comics have words in them too? Not just the pretty art?

That is what I liked about the first issue, that it took me more than two minutes to read. I'm so bored with books that I buy and I'm done reading minutes after I get home.

Maybe that's why I'm starting to get into Spencer's writing. He WRITES the story the art wraps around, instead of the basic writing that we've been spoonfed since the 90's (and it was the original image crew that started this trend, it's nice seeing everything come full circle).

And yes, being a writer it is nice seeing a book about story than art for once.

  12. Ok so it is 400 copies, but $60?

I know my book didn't have the fan base that bedlam has or do I have a name anywhere close to Spencer's but hell, tales had a single variant limited to 10 copies and it was sold for $10.

:gossip: and it didn't have a cover price like the regular version did :gossip: but Larry may not have had a choice with te price that was printed in the cover.

It's a trend! We all saw it last weekend with Skybound and TWD 100 GOLD FOIL super SPECIAL! $250 each 250 printed... :whee:

I did it first! Baltimore comic con 2010.

  14. Having been tracking too closely lately, but...ballpark prices for you:

    Regular cover: $5 - $6

    NYCC (color): $20

    NYCC (RRP/black and white): $75

    Detroit: $25-$30

    Third Eye: $20-$25

    Phantom: $10-$12

    Forbidden Planet (signed): $15-$20

    Forbidden Planet (unsigned): $30

Let's revisit those late April, shall we?

Sure, happy to revisit in April. But then, he wasn't asking for a crystal ball answer on what they might be worth in 5 months, and he wasn't asking in advance for prices that won't be realized until April - he was asking about current FMV.

I'm not looking to invest or flip, to collect only.

  15. I'm thinking Negan is going to be revealed to be a zombie "lover" which will be unprecedented in zombie fiction. Then the big twist Lori is one of his "wives".

    Twisted? Yes.

See City Of The Dead by Brian Keene. Not unprecedented, but something that has not really been used, also used in the movie Dead Girl.

Hmm okay I stand corrected. Still twisted?

Not saying its not totally screwed up, and if that is where he is going with it, a lot of readers would have one of those "oh my god!" moments.
