Sometimes your posts or threads are a big waste of time, too, but do I complain about it? No, I scroll past. I think you can learn how to do this function as well in a silent and polite manner.
I rarely do this in a SALES THREAD, which is what we're talking about.
Gabbing in forum sections like General or the other areas that are designed for CONVERSATION is expected, as no one is trying to create a environment for financial transactions and no one is waiting for new books to be posted.
But obviously, the difference eludes you right?

I hate people, I hate cops, I hate lawyers, I hate hospitals, I hate everything
come on...really....is the boards so mess that it comes down to this? really?, granted it does end up being a great read from time to time.

anyone have any thoughts on the postcard question?
well...most promo items hold very little value even though fewer copies survive than what the ad was for. if you've been picking them up, don't stop if you don't want to, hell, it's free...
only you can answer your question...(not trying to be a smartass)

Any other decent zombie/horror books currently running?
if you want regular nont comic books, there are 2 of a trilogy out by a z.a. recht, plague of the dead and thunder and ash as well as brian keene, the rising and city of the dead.
all are good, the keene books are better.

Resident Evil Degeneration (not great), and World War Z (not done yet but so far it's incredible). [/quote"]
degeneration was good until they left the airport. world war z? great read! the last good thing to come from anyone related to mel brooks.
#57 was great! i don't think he's ready to kill rick off yet. but the end is nigh for him most definately.

SPOILER BELOW, highlight to read

same here, that is the first she reads, then 30 days, anything from niles and whatever else she finds interesting that i pick up.
luckily she doesn't like ennis books, i don't want to explain why i read books by an irish guy fascinated with jokes.
so atleast tell me if there is a major death within the pages of 57...
J
it would be cool if carl had to kill his own infected father...
-
Anyone read #57 yet? All I can say is "WOW" :headbang:
haven't made my bi-weekly stop to the lcs to get it yet. the wife has been person_without_enough_empathying about all the books coming almost daily that i bought from the other bordites so i need to clean it out on the sly...

back on topic, what are the chances of the dead being out on time this year?
anyone think that rick is going to die this year? not by psycho but by being bitten? i'd find it interesting to see how michoinne would take care of carl and the impact on him. kirkman had the usual disassociation between carl and his mom and it would probably affect him more with rick dead than his mom and sister.

i don't play warcraft, eat hot pockets and i'm married, so that leaves me at the dork level...
J
Well then, I'm a dork as well, and still Damn proud!
just have to know the people you talk to....
i'm a dork and proud myself....got my wife into comics and gaming as well, made her a dork too.
i'm such a dork that i have 2 playstation network accounts and four xbox live accounts. just sold my wii so now i only have 8 of the 9 current and last gen consoles.
atleast i'm not one of those baseball card collecting bottom feeders....they are the lowest of all nerds.
J
-
i'm a dork, there are three levels of geekdom...
nerds
geeks
and dorks
each having their own pros and cons, since you are married you cannot be a nerd, nerds are not capable of talking to the opposite sex in any media, especially face to face. geeks have limited human contact outside of world of warcraft, mostly at 7-11 getting their stock of hot pockets and talking with the "old lady behind the counter". dorks are fully aware of their surroundings and are capable of talking with the opposite sex, even as far as having girlfriends and/or wives (or both if you are rich like bill gates).
i don't play warcraft, eat hot pockets and i'm married, so that leaves me at the dork level...

i remeber seeing a group of 4 (?) getting out as my wife and i wait in line walking in wearing walking dead shirts...and i was teh jelous...i was just wearing my zombie repellant shirt (riot shotgun on the chest from resident evil 4)
that was my first "big" con (sad considering that i am 33). and i now understand the importance of pre-paying for admission...
J
yep, I was one of those four guys, along with Chris (ffcomics), Danny (mutantkeys), and Shawn (pitboss)
oh and you guys are a bunch of nerds
-
nice, i wanted to stay for kirkman but my wife had enough of smelly fanboys and we left before he did his thing.
my wife did see her first flat rat going back to the car...

my biggest issue was diary didn't have a true "release" premiered at toronto and the weinstien's didn't give it the national domestic release it should've gotten, the way diary was handled, it should have been land of the dead that got the non release and diary get a full release.
atleast it's on bluray (after i got the regular sd release because i wanted to see it so bad).
ash, were you at the balto con?

cap # 1. no question, i love crime books but none of them can touch cap #1

This will be of interest to many of you... The next Romero "Dead" film. I didn't even know this was being made.
Any one know when this is scheduled for release?
it's just listed as 2009 and still in process of edit. the filming started in sept of last year and this is a pseudo sequel to diary (as long as he doesn't cast another canadian whose character is from baltimore "what is that aboot?")
i hope he gets a few more out before he becomes one of them...
