I'm really tickled to finally have a copy of this issue. Not a high-grade by any means, but I think at least the colors are still pretty good on this one.

There was a gentleman at Wizard World Chicago last year who had a number of the signed lithographs at his booth. Saw him again at C2E2 in May. Thought he said he would have a few more at the Chicago Comic Con in August. I'll pm his name and phone number to you.

I actually ended up buying it on Sunday from Jeff Weaver, although I didn't notice it until late in the day Saturday.

Kudos to ajaxfarrell for a couple of his nice comic clocks. Did a great job with positioning the images on the clock face, and the colors really jump out. Thanks again, Jim.

Beautiful book, Schlep. I always think the Brenner Pass sign makes this cover even cooler.

I'm really pulling for the Saints to go all the way this season, they deserve it!

I'd like to thank MrBedrock for all his help with this book. I bought this book raw from Richard without seeing it in person. Richard judged the book to be about a VG. He prepped the mylar for the Signature Series signing and lugged the book with him all the way to the Baltimore-Con for drop-off with Sean (NYComics) for the signing at Joe Simon's home. As you can see, Richard nailed the grade, and I'm pretty pleased with the end result (it even kind of glows now).

 

Frisco-Man and Xavier Logan both claim to be past owners of this book, so the book seems to keep finding its way back to this neck of the woods.

Always like how so many lower-grade golden-age books with their heavier paper and inking still present reasonably well.

Hey Steve, great looking All Winners 11. You didn't mention when we were looking at those lithographs at WW Chicago that you had such a nice copy of the original book.

Moving to the other end of the grade spectrum, this copy has seen better days, but I always find WW2 covers hard to resist.

That's a fun pickup on the Cap 27 tonight, Ferdelance. Always seems to me this should be designated a "classic" cover.

I sometimes wonder, due to Marvel's ret-conning, which of these issues retroactively became the last Steve Rogers Timely issue before he was frozen in ice near the end of WW2 and others assumed the Captain America persona.

I also wonder if I should be worried that I wonder about such a thing.
