  1. Something else that just occurred to me. Without an upscaling comic reader app, the pages will look a bit blurry on a tablet, even with larger size images, such as 3Mb. I would recommend the Chunky app to use with material from Humble Bundle.
  2. Some are better than others. A Kodansha Manga bundle had high res pages, say around 2 Mb each, and then 40 Gb in total, whereas others have been quite stingy, such as Valiant at around 300 Kb per page; easily checked by unzipping a .cbz file.
  3. I find that my digital comics from Humble Bundle and Comixology always arrive on my desktop in perfect condition. Given Diamond's incessant habit of delivering product with significant amounts of damage, can I expect digital comic images from them to be dinged with large areas of missing pixels or other unacceptable defects?
  4. This is the classic bar fight between Colossus and Juggernaut.
  5. Clearly, from what you mentioned at first, he treats his customers like an extended family and just wants to make sure that everyone's safe, comfortable and happy in his treasure trove of pamphlets. Modern technology facilitates that. A positive use of surveillance.
  6. At first glance, I was quite concerned about the Orwellian implications of that name. But, I'm happy to hear that there's a positive, friendly, nurturing intention by the owner.
  7. To get him to drop his ninja-like cloak of invisibility and engage with you, simply hold a few high grade DC 100 pagers in plain sight. Romance comics are an alternative option.
  8. Not exactly my field, but the few I’ve seen from Marvel have had some excellent John Buscema and John Romita Snr artwork.
  9. Very nice signature placement there. You're right, it's a keeper.
  10. Safari. But, I did see the message.
  11. My New Trend EC Library collection is still not bad, condition-wise, but I’ve read through them all many times over 3 to 4 decades, and you will get white line cracks along the spines, at the very least. Then again, these brilliant comics were meant to be read and admired in this format.
  12. I’d expect the Multiple Personality Disorder / Dissociative Identity Disorder issue to be tamed down or excluded, although with the strong reviews given recently to Doom Patrol, an accurate version might now be seen as viable for Disney streaming.
  13. Yup. 95, the death of Thunderbird, was a sad story. And, it could just as easily have been Wolverine.
  14. I’m sure that somewhere I still have a British Marvelman Annual, given to me by a relative when I was about 5 years old. This is the 1950s character that eventually became Alan Moore’s Miracleman. An interesting item, as it also contained a couple of obscure Joe Maneely ‘Speed Carter Spaceman’ stories from Atlas / Marvel. In terrible shape, no back cover, and kept despite my more typical OCD condition obsessiveness as a reminder of the earliest stage in my development as a comics fan.
  15. Hardly. Not all of us are profit-obsessed flippers. It’s a great book and one of the most significant in my collection.
  16. Yup. It's been retconned by Alan Moore as a previous incarnation of the Swamp Elemental. Not Alec Holland, but not totally without relevance.
  17. Even though Superman doesn't need one, you've missed the ridiculously large gun. That'll more likely appear in Liefeld's version of Batman. Just a question of time.
  18. Anything hyped by TV or movie speculation.
  19. It's an intense look that more suits a darker-minded character such as Batman.
  20. It's possible that some people believe that birds fully retract their legs, just like a plane does with its undercarriage after takeoff.
